Andhaman is in the eastern side almost near Indonesia whereas Kerala is on the western side. How come showers in Andhaman will bring monsoon to kerala?

The IMD forecast is encouraging.Last year, they had given warning and things were kept under control. The IMD are not gods, they are simple humans who have been trained to predict the weather.Like all others, even they can make errors. At times, the PM does too.

Sure. the only greatness is how consistently you make those errors.

Please do not insult science, just because one body of lazy guys don't get it.

There are institutions out there who can predict

Monsoon this year
by Aadi Manav on May 17, 2010 07:23 PM  | Hide replies

It will being the clouds but it will not rain. This is because we have cut down trees, raised down mountains and have buil too much of concrete structure. All to impact monsson this year too.
If it does not rain this year, half of the Mumbai population will have to be vacated forcefully.

But still it rains heavily in Mumbai. There are more trees now than ever before. As there are very less forest fires sans forests.
