by Jems Odda on May 02, 2010 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

I ask you one question:

Qu: During 1940-50 most of the common whelth countries were freed from British, which includes Taiwan, Korea, Japan ....etc. The Japan is most advance country in the world, and other countries are most advance. The Minimum Wage is Taiwan is Rs.30,000/- PM for Class IV worker. My Question is that why In Maharashtra Minimum wages is Rs.3000/- PM.?

why give importance to states ?
by manoj kumar on May 02, 2010 12:53 AM

Why not go for beauty of the city. how safe it is. how much infrastructure it has built. be proud of that. why be obsessed with regional language. state in india represent the same regional fight, conflicts that century ago kings of india used to keep fighting with each other. muslims and british too advantage of that. do u want same to happen. a weak india is result of this regional pride.

What shit?
by Pat Thakur on May 01, 2010 12:53 PM

Actually, it's the Kangress which is responsible for the lives of these Martyrs. It was because of Kangressis like Morarji, Chavan etc who were hell bent on cretaing a Divided Maharashtra with Gujarat eyeing Mumbai & Karnatatka eyeing Belgaum with Border Cities. Karnataka succeeded but Gujarat didn't. This frustration is still seen on Rediff in occassional posts where people advocate Mumbai's merger with Gujarat. Also Morarji/ Chavan's predecessors are even now crying hoarse & stealthily tryin to divide Vidarbha, Mumbai etc. & finally, the Queen of all is advocating to sell India to US/ Vatican/ Mecca, divide Andhra, divide Maharashtra, divide UP etc, all with a Remote......

Misplaced Concepts of a once prime state
by Hari Menon on May 01, 2010 12:44 PM  | Hide replies

A decade back Maharahtra was the number one destination for all investments - be it be manufacturing or IT. Today, states like Gujarat, MP, TN, AP have all surpassed it in terms of being investor freindly. Plus the rantings of Raj Tackrey have gone in bad taste with all peace loving citizens. No wonder, MH today is finding it difficult to have a surplus state budget funds.

We hope and pray that all states including Bihar, UP, etc become 100 times better than Maharashtra so that people from these states need not migrate to Mh to get a life.

Maharashtra beautiful state
by sagar joharle on May 01, 2010 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

Maharashta is a big and beautiful state, but if you look back and wondered what happened to this beautiful state one will find that Maharashtra is reling under power shortage, no proper infrastructure, all the project are runing 30 years behind shedule.Water crises and so many other things. When the Maharsashtra Govt. failed to give basic amenities to its people for past 50 years, what is the big fuss in celebrating Maharashtra Day.As long this corrupted system is not demolished Maharashtra will be worst than Bihar.

Even then, no Bihari did, can or ever will sing paeans of Bihar. But we Maharashtrians still echo equivocally, "JAI MAHARASHTRA" with pride.
