the punishment quantum
by RathindraNath Banerjee on Mar 29, 2010 11:25 AM

Is this a punishment at all? Such punishment will not deter corruption but encorage it.Any honest Engineer/Executive can be removed with a shot if he does not fall in line with Mafias/Politicians/Contractors.They should be hanged .

Good and Bad news
by The Democracy on Mar 28, 2010 01:00 AM

Good news because...
The criminals are given life imprisonment for murdering a good citizen of India.

Bad news because...
1. The case took long 6 years to get to this point

2. The murderer, who is being punished, is just a contract killer; he is not the mastermind of this. So, the real mastermind is hiding somewhere and CBI is not at all bothered to go after those real criminals.

3. Satyandra got justice because he was an IITian. Many good citizens, in India, try to blow whistle and get killed. No media publishes their story. No organization bothers to fight for justice for the killed person. So, in this country, justice is only available for the alumni of IIT and such institutes! All other citizens are considered value-less creatures.

Good trend!

I am glad to see frank and critical comments. Usually, I am banned by most of the Indian web sites for too frank comments. If all of us rebel against injustice, things will be certainly better! I write in the blogs of London Times, Daily Telegraph and others!

Justice delayed is justice denied!

Seven years for a judgment on an important case is a disgrace to judiciary! It is said that master minds have escaped long/short arm of laws!

Too less
by ashish barnwal on Mar 27, 2010 06:31 PM

The people responsible for the killing(including behind the scenes) must be given a death sentence...If our brightest minds are made to work under the fear of unscruplous elements, this country will loose out in the race for development and India will cease to be a meritocratic country.

Find out the real cuprits
by deepanjan biswas on Mar 27, 2010 04:31 PM  | Hide replies

The people who committed this are just hired by someone. The CBI should have worked hard on finding the actual culprits who were behind this.

CBI and everybody knows who the real culprits are. But they will never take any action because lot of big people with money, political and muscle power are involved in this. Petty criminals are punished as an eye wash

All know that the business is going as usual. But we have stake in our hands. We have to find out which MLAs and MPs are shielding these Murderers?? We have to find these unscrupulous law makers who control the purse-strings of laws of the nation. We have to expose them and punish them very severely, so that these scums never dare to come to the political lime light again. Brothers, time has come to act together now!!!
