Somehow after the 1971 war complacency seems to have set in Indian defence system while Pak narrowed the gap in its conventional weaponery vis-a-vis India with generous military dole outs from the U.S. and China.For any permanent peace in the region what is needed is a weakened pak army, a 40-50% reduction in its military inventories---its infantry division,armaments/artillary,battle tanks,fighter planes and so on.Hence a WAR between the two countries is the only solution to achieve this.So India must prepare for a WAR after the CWG in order to have an enduring peace in the region.

There is a more fundamental reason why war with pakistan is inevitable. Their psyche is ingrained with the idea that their g@d wants then to conquer the world. They are so resolute in this that tye will try and try again to make this a reality.
1000s of terror hot spots across the Indo-pak border could have been used for REAL PURPOSE of these missiles ... our lame duck Indians simply love to dump 1000s of crores Tax money into the sea ... WHY ?

Good point. Indian politicians need to grow some spine. One of the first things MMS did on becoming PM was to abolish the POTA which was most insane thing to do.

The platform that hold and delivers a missile should be named 'Dhanush' and the missile should have been named 'Ban'.. It will be more interessting if these are designed the same way as they appear in 'Lord Rama's' hand and than used to destroy not only emeies across the border but also within the borders in the form of P-secs and Kongis to truly establish the 'Ram Rajya'.

Is it possible to make Mayawati, MMS, Sonia, Prakash Karat, Lalu etc as payload on some of these missiles ?
Why the hell all missiles are named in Northi type patterns. Why can't they name some as Chatterjee, Ramaswamy etc to represent the entire country ? Most of the brains behind the missile development are south indians. Down with Hindi imperialism.

ALL THE MISSILES NAMES HAVE BEEN SANSKRIT WORDS SYMBOLISING POWER/FORCES OF NATURE. E.G. AGNI MEANS FIRE .. PRITHVI MEANS EARTH AND SO ON... ONLY EXCEPTION IS BRAHMOS WHICH IS A DERIVATIVE OF BRAHMPUTRA AND MOSCOWA I.E. RIVERS OF INDIA AND RUSSIA RSPECTIVELY....
WE CAN AND SHOULD HAVE NAMES FROM TAMIL LANGUAGE .. ANOTHER ANCINET LANGUAGAE FROM OUR VERY OWN SUBCONTINET.... BUT THE NAMES SHOULD BE INDICATIVE OF FIRE POWER AND SHOULD NOT BE NAMED AFTER INDIVIDUALS LIKE Chatterjee, Ramaswamy ETC.
