There are few deaths as mentioned by one eye witness. Though the exact number is unknown.

Queens mansion is next buildging...that has castlewood, giggles, barista,silver oak...etc...Stephen Court is the buildging in point here, it has flurys, peter cat, CCD, and music world...corner of park street and middleton row...

This has to be a conspiracy by the property developers. This old building is one of the prime properties of Calcutta (if not the most prime - cause of its location). Raze it down by fire and then buy the land with govt involvement only to develop it and sell the new property at huge profits.
every multi storeyed building in INDIA needs to be reviewed for fire security purposes.Its the second incident in about two months.The GOVERNMENT should take necessary steps and legalise these security norms.
