India has had a nice Holi Gift.....
by Pat Thakur on Mar 02, 2010 07:58 PM

With Indians being Bloodbathed in Red at Afghanistan. Holi Mubarak, Kangress!!! Thanks for this lovely gift of death. It's due to your efforts that we Indians are already on the road to another partition & thereby, extinction.

Holi Festival
by Anupam Rrastogi on Mar 02, 2010 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

Its not proper for us to comment on religion and too when we dont know the truth behind the ritual. Hate beget hatred. We have to come out of the vicious circle of hate. Holi festival comes with a message to forgive and forget and here we are creating fresh duel. Holi festival is not uncivilised, its we who are uncivilised and have made it so. Our image has been transcended, rest otherwise Holi is the festival of joy of mirth o forgetting old feuds and unite. The spirit of Holi is great. Festivals are there to spread cheer and not to sit and criticise knowing the half truths. You cant transcend your myopia and narrow visions. Its rather you have to broaden yourself.

Nice try Anupam - its very much appreciated that you made an effort to explain the real meaning of Holi to some narrow minded readers.....however, believe me.....these cutlets are only good at making fun of otherReligions...thats what they are taught the moment they are born.

Re: Holi Festival
by PREM KUMAR on Mar 02, 2010 11:04 AM
I disagree with you mr. anupam. We follow lots of ritual blindly and our many rituals are so stupid and unacceptable to civilized society. In fact holi festivals are being used for vested interests like seeing women in wet cloths, eve teasing etc. We do not celebrate in south this uncivilized festival.

Its uncivilized
by JGN on Mar 02, 2010 10:04 AM  | Hide replies

Holi is a totally uncivilized festival. Excess drinking, hooliganism, eve teasing, violent goup clashes etc are the hall mark of this festival. How can anybody call such events as festival?
