Iran, one of the largest Is1amic countries is a "Managed Democracy"! Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's supreme religious leader backs Ahmadinejad! Ahmadinejad legitimately won the first term of his presidency! Though doubts persist over his recent re-election, the feeble protests of opposition have now been silenced and Ahmadinejad is in control now! Iran's presidency is not the seat of executive power. Unelected mullahs hold veto power over the decisions of the elected government, and their Supreme Leader, Ayatullah Ali Khamenei, must approve all political policies. No one can run for president without the approval of the clerics, and they routinely narrow the field to those deemed acceptable within the parameters of the Is1amic Revolution. Even the apparent loser, reformist candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi, was no progressive and shining beacon of liberty! Since the revolution of 1979, Iran has been governed by a power structure that combines unelected clerics with an elected legislature and presidency. Under the revolution's principle of Velayat e-faqi or "guardianship of the jurisprudent," ultimate political authority rests in the hands of the clergy. Thus Iran is an Orwellian nightmare characterized by a policy of control by propaganda, surveillance, misinformation, denial of truth and manipulation of the past!

The Srilankan Govt. has killed nearly 1.5 lakh innocent civilians and yet this modern HITLER poses as a peace maker. India is not questioning him, and Indians are thinking it as a problem of the tamilians alone. God save India!!!!

Dude...I partially agree with you that Srilankan Government needs to be held accountable for the War crimes against srilankan tamil civilians. But I disagree with you that Indians are thinking its a problem of tamilians...India has helped in the past financially and is currently working to build houses in Northern Srilanka for Internally displaced tamil civilians, it is yet in negotiations for political settlement for srilankan tamils...I don't understand why ppl like you ignore the good deeds done by INdian government for the srilankan tamil civilians and shout from the roof tops when it was helping srilankan government again LTTE. Don't forget that even LTTE was involved in war crimes when it forcibly held the civilians as human shields against srilankan troops..

Your sentence itself has the Answer "Building houses in Northern Srilanka for INTERNALLY DISPLACED TAMILS". only helping after displacing them.

Indian Dictator
by Dinesh Solanki on Jul 04, 2010 09:50 AM

Why Indira Gandhi did not get pride of place in this pantheon what with her declaratiion of emergency and jailing of lot of people for whatever period she did ? I think she should not be ignored by the arting people as she made Fakrudin Ali Ahmed to sign the paper to support her bid to usurp power from Judiciary and people ? Her ranking will remind Indians of adark chapter ion their history by a persoon of Nehru family.Rating agency must undo injustoice to Indira Gandhi

You are right. Bush can never be a dictator. he won against algore in a political way. Not by the popular support. However now he will face a shameful death in the hands of American people.
