WE had a horrible experince in Helsinki,polyclinic.Doctor prescribed strong antibiotic,and not anti malarial,when visible symptoms of malaria existed.Pity on medicine education quality....No wonder Finland education is cheapest in the world.

By the way, there are over 2000 Paki men in Swedish jails for having brutally murdered their Swedish wives...after torturing them and forcing them to wear burkha.
Of course, Sweden has no death penalty, so these murderers are enjoying top facilities at Swedish taxpayer money.
Anybody want to take a bet on how long surveys such as this will continue to rank Scandinavian people as being at the top of happiness measures??

Norway is NOT Ltte sponsor. Infact Norway helped SriLankans destroy LTTE by using delaying tactics. LTTE at one stage would have crushed SRiLankans.
It is not the degree of freedom that matters happiness,it is dignity of human values,economic,social security and ecology concern that constitutes the path to well-being.In India the quantum of liberties may be higher,yet lack of civilsed society that cares for rights and duites with equal measure keeps us stuck up at lower rank in overall well-being.

you could not put it better. The worst thing tha the powers that me teach us to be meeks and sycophants. All have short term goals. We just lack leaders who have farsight, can instill pride and integrity. Til we find such people who matter, we destined to be at the gutter level.

Finns are actually very melancholic and alcoholic. It is not entirely their fault either: the lack of sunlight for several months each year means that SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is widespread.
These so-called surveys are carried out with a hidden agenda (read church-sponsored). That is why you see terms like "freedom of religion".
I lived in Denmark, Italy, Oman etc., and visited 40 countries. But I never severed my connections with home country and happily live in my Motherland. Many people criticise India for its corruption,suppressing talent etc., but from the same soil the country produced the greatest apostle of peace Mahatma Gandhiji,the greatest poet Rabindranath Tagore, the great Scientist Sir C.V.Raman and scores of other giants.
Happiness is relative and developed countries and developing countries have their own way of looking at it.

Can you deny the negatives that you have stated besides the ill mannered exploding population ? We Indians have habit of living in past glory. Not that I do not love my Country, but let me know ONE GREAT leader you can trust to take it forward with honesty, guts and above all self respect.???
