We are not educated
by Indian Rishi on Jun 24, 2010 07:02 AM  | Hide replies

Our scholles only teach Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Most of the so called educated IAS/IPS are corrupt and abuse their offices.

Education should start with history of our civilization. Eveny citizien should know their roots. Our convert brothers think that they are from another civilization. This is happening due to lack of education.

We should teach integrity, rationality, and respect for environment.

Friends, you can make the difference. Please do educate our brothers and sisters.

Very well said. We need to educate and go back to our roots which had very strong value sytem & culture . This was sytmaticaly destroyed by all the outsiders who ruled us for centuries. Let us start and conntribte in whatever way we can.

Our rulers failed in visulising the big problems ahead. We failed misearably in almost all fields, agriculture, education, judiciry, politics, health, social justice to name few. We need leaders who can foresee centuries ahead and not only eye coming elections.

THE SYSTEM IS VERY STRICT AND TRANSPARENT

FEW YEARS AGO A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT OF DENMARK LEFT THE ICE CREAM PARLOR WITHOUT PAYING THE BILL , WHEN HE WAS CAUGHT HE PLEADED ABSENT MINDEDNESS (THIS COULD HAPPEN WITH ANYBODY) AND HE PAID THE BILL. BUT THIS MATTER WAS TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY BY THEIR HIGHER AUTHORITY AND HE HAD TO RESIGN FROM POLITICS. SUCH IS THE STRICTNESS THAT Scandinavian countries LIKE DENMARK , FINLAND, SWEDEN ARE ONE OF THE LEAST CORRUPT COUNTRIES.
BUT IN INDIA U GOT TO BE A THIEF TO ENTER INTO POLITICS.

A top cabinet minister (htaN) went for a foreighn trip to save the Earth in Brazil many years back. He did't attend any meeting there, instead went on a shopping spree, returned to India with 2 dozen suit cases and walked thr'u green channel. The lady customs officer who imposed duty on him was trasferred to far away.

It seems OK. I doubt if the candidates selected by Ramdeobaba ever will be able to win elections. Winning election is not a matter of character and service. It has become practice to use muscle and money power to win election.
even though it is cristal clear that if we bring all money stored in Swiss banks back to our country, not all but most of the problems will be solved.
the people we elect r not interested.

The political classes r the causes of the ills in India.
by Samyek D on Jun 24, 2010 01:36 AM  | Hide replies

In India, the present education system is till a century old(designed in 1832 by the British). Our notorious politicians dont care to change it bcoz they they dont want people to get the right knowledge/information as they will not able to fool the people. Indian lives are cheap. The politician will not care for the well being of Indian. They only care for them self & get the best possible health care for themselves.
These politician want the population of the country rise esp of those poor, deprived, illiterate so that they can get vote by fooling them.

i guess climate plays a role too.....u see,all scandinavian countries are cold, ppl keep a cool mind,India nd other Asian countries also Africa have moderate to extreme temperatures, which make behaviour of people more agressive, ppl lose their cool more easily.Anyways if u look geographically, ppl at cold places are more well off than pll at moderate temperature places.

That can not be the right cause. It is the people mindset, nature. Look in India , people only care of own benefits like a selfish, greedy.
A govt/public service officer, politician join office with oath to serve the nation, people, later only busy fulfilling their needs, pockets. Out of govt, look at the indian media, they also only thing of money, by reporting intensively only form the India mainland even for the least important news. They hardly report properly from nook & corner of the country.eg there is hardly any news from andaman & nicobar islands, north east states.

Remembetr exceptions will be ther always.Singapore is a big city and not a country in reality. vatican city is also a country and depends on italy fully for its income. That is the right cause, watch the statistics. All cold countries are mostly rich and all hot countries are mostly poor . It is foolish to mentiobn exceptions. Most of the land on earth is undr white's control and most of them are rich. All african countries are poor. there is one small island as an exception. We may boast of our family values etc but the fact is that we were superior in histlory in the first 3000 year and remained inferiro for the past 1000 year and are now becomming again superior.India will be a superior country by 2050 according to all economic panditsw in the worlod with regard to its total welth ( per capiota income wise we will be stll bot ver well off. Hindu religion is becommng stronger and more respecteful and india will have super power status along with china. Whether pessimists will believe it or not their children and grand children wil see these facts
