Is the US considering a long-term stay in Afghanistan?
by ananta tpalli on Jun 23, 2010 09:11 PM

But for now, China is keeping low as far as Afghanisthan is concernced as it knows that handling a team consisting of US, UK and NATO is too big a hot potato.

Further, exastly after about 100 years, china will play the role of Hitler's Germany. Before WW IIm Hitler occupied his neighbor countries.China is doing the same now.

Remember one naxalite leader declaring that they will LIBERATE INDIA in fifty years?

If pakisthan is rouge country, china is no less a rouge country.

to be continued ..3

Its not ISI which is hunting with hounds and running with hares. It is the Govemrnemnt of Pakistan thrugh its warlords and corrupt governement machinery. Pakistan is a beggar country. It has no money to fund Taliban insurgents. All the billions of dollars it recieves is shared by all the politicians and their cronies. The real sponsor of pakisthan and Taliban inurgency is China. The gtrillions of extra money that the chinese have, has been invested in covert activities in other countries to spread their tentacles. Look at these countries:
Masots in Nepal, Red Shirts in Thailand, Naxalites in India, Chinese promise to built Chittagong port for Bangladesh, Srilanka's invitation to Chinese industries, Burmas increasing proxomity to China, Chinas claim for Arunachal Pradesh, China's Tibet.

Does ot sound anything?.

China will not come into picure directly in places like Afghanisthan necaouse of the presence US, EU and NATO.

Have you ever wondered why Taliban / Al Qaida did not target any of the foreign establishments in China.
Becase it has an agreement with Taloban through ISI / Pakisthan and main source of funds for these two terrorist outfits to fight this war in Afghanisthan is china. Taliban knows pretty well that unlike the rest of the world, China does not beilieve in religion or in human rights. One wrong move, china will eradicate Taliban once for all.

AT the same time, China does not want a Super power like US as its neighbor.

isi tentacles
by sushil chadha on Jun 23, 2010 01:04 AM

If the Isi tastes "victory" in Aghanistan as is presupposed , the next target will surely be india --- first in kashmir and then in rest of India . India has to be alert to this impending possibility and evolve its poilicies / strategies keeping this in mind .The isi has everything in place for this just as it had in Afghanistan --a local population whose loyalities are suspect, terrorist networks both in and out of Kashmir ,religion fanaticism etc
The usa and ISI nexus which has developed since their anti Russian operations in Afghanistan and continue now is the one most prominent reason for the spread of terrorist violence in the world and which has affected India deeply
The usa presence is unwelcome in most countries and has only led to disruption in societies -- but in India we should support this presence in aFGHANISTAN as usa withdrawal will be a invitation for isi to spread its tentacles and ambitions in our country
Very frankly even if we presuppose for arguments sake that a solution to kashmir is found , will they be satisfied with this and forego thier plans to destabilise India in general ? Hardly as their hatred for india is too deep

Pakistan should be destroyed!
by trader on Jun 22, 2010 08:52 PM

Its high time, Indian state use its resources to destroy Pakistan, overtly and covertly.2 reasons:-

1.China is arming Pakistan to the teeth only to craete as much nuisance factor as possible, in the path of Super Power status of India.Chian does not have any benefits from Pakistan[Pak has no major industry other than textiles].
2.Once Pakistan is destroyed into 4-5 independent nations, handling them will be easy.Definitely, these countries being Islamic countries will not leave their basic nature, but India can handle much weaker nations on a case to case basis as bangladesh is definitely less inimical and weaker than Pakistan!
3.Its high time India assist US in its war in Afghanistan! We have to cleanse the Af-Pak border and Afghanistan itself so that no rogue elements can emanate from there! This will be a classic revenge to the attacks of Ghazni and Ghoris!!India has the military capability and its time to flex our musle!

We already know ISI game plan
by Debasish Sarkar on Jun 22, 2010 07:44 PM

Author is not saying any new thing.
1.America will continue to occupy Afghanistan, and will remain there for long time to come[ or better to say, staying permanently]
2.china and Iran is helping ISI to dislodge American Grip over Afghanistan. for same reason-to grab Afghanistan's mineral resources.
2. Uncle Sam is weak and vulnerable after Iraq Debacle. so two wars are too much for Sam to digest.
3. Uncle is begging India to help in Afghan war.
4.Our present Cong. administration in Raisina Hill, so corrupt and seriously weak to make any decision in this respect, and unable to do any thing against Pakistan, in fear of losing Muslim Vote Bank in India.
3. Only solution- India can help America, if whole Kashmir valley be assimilated and to join in Indian territory.
4. Same time pentagon must start the process of breaking Pakistan into 4 small independent states- like Baluchistan, Sindh, Punjab, and NWFP of Waziristan.
Conclusion-Uncle Sam must start the process of dismantling Pakistan now.

If US withdraws
by Vivek Dev on Jun 22, 2010 04:32 PM

Indians have long slammed US as world policeman. Now if US withdraws from Afghan the worst affected will be India which has all along been anti-US. So Indians are praying hard that US maintain its presence in the country, delicious irony.

US cannot be trusted
by Nitin Darji on Jun 22, 2010 12:27 PM

India has to be on its guard, if necessary test some ICBM missiles to show US that Indians would not take their ideas lying down.
