DONT CARE ATTITUDE OF MUNICIPAL COMMISSIONER MUMBAI
by chanderprakash g on Jun 23, 2010 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

THANK GOD RAINS HAVE BLESSED OUR CITY, BUT OUR BLESSED BMC HAS NOT DONE ITS HOME WORK WELL. THE TREES HAVE NOT BEEN TRIMMED,POT HOLES NOT TAKEN CARE OFF, TREES DEBRIS NOT REMOVED WHICH FEEL IN THE FIRST RAINS. WHEN WE OFFER OUR HELP THERE IS NO REPLY, WHICH WAS NOT THE CASE WHEN MR JAI RAJ PATHAKJI OR MR KARAN SRIVASTAVA WERE ON THE CHAIR. THE PAVER BLOCK ARE FITTED IN SUCH A BAD MANNER THAT TODAY CERTAIN AREAS IT HAS SUNK. PRIVATE SANITARY CONTRACTORS ARE BUSY MINTING MONEYAND MUMBAIKARS KEEP SHELLING THEIR MONEY BY WAY OF TAXES AND SUFFER LOSS OF VEHICLE DAMAGES ETC.
GOOD BLESS MUMBAI. PRAKASHC GIDWANI SOCIAL ACTIVIST 9821139317

Dear Chander,

The BMC is not entirely responsible, there a revarious factors including Politics, like 50% of the mumbai is goverened by MMRDA which comes under direct control of CM which is ruled by congress, hence they play games to sow each other is at fault

Also there is all unplanned development which adds to the wooes

This is for ur info

Dear Rajesh,

I agree to some extent but not entirely because we all should understand that Despite of Governement, Politicians and other governing bodies tagged as Theifs or Culprits still we vote these ppl only, on an average we are paying 20-25 Rs Tax directly or indirectly, despite of that what we are getting the same and we also keep on repeating the same as every year government is not taking care . i would say that stop voting. NONE Of the Public should vote any parties, let the government fumble by this and then u see hw the come on track, We public dnt show the intrest nor we have time for that which is been taken as advantage by these politicians. Instead of posting the reviews and comments i think we have to get a permanent solution, where india is one of the most richest country in the world now, but we are still listed in poor countries. So think, where the allegations had to be made and how it has to be tackled not can be tackled. We have suffered a lot, now let them suffer

Regards,
Vinod

Freedom came somewhat early
by Dayalsingh ailsinghani on Jun 21, 2010 05:42 PM  | Hide replies

The chaos the country landed into was more than imminent. Had we opted for freedom fifty years later the story would have been different. Ours is a corrupt society nurtured by paper currency and wold finance at what terms and conditions only our politicians, only know. But life goes on with the average INDIAN BURDENED WITH DEBT.

ARE WE STILL THIRD WORLD COUNTRY?
by JOHN BHATIA on Jun 17, 2010 10:06 PM  | Hide replies

Looking to the India's rise on the world map and cozy relationship with the great powers like U.S.A. and U.K., I was under wrong impression that India might have been turned corner and inching up to becoming a developed Nation, buit every year when May comes, almost 70% of INDIANS cry loudly not only for electricity but WATER! And when June comes and rain comes, most of them are ready for the road, trains, bus and business close-up! Our drains, if they are there are mostly chocked, low lying areas are getting flooded and drainage courses are either flooded or unsuitable for the purpose. Soon roads will get pot holes and sink holes!!!!
NO, I was wrong, we are still a third world Nation and who knows how many more centuries we will be there. I remembered, Man Mohansingh was once promised that we will convert Mumbai in to Indian Sanghai very soon. I do not think so it will be in his and my life time.We all INDIAN BELIEVES IN ALMIGHTY GOD, LET PRAY, HE CAN HELP US.

Mumbai was an Island city with 7 islands...
by jaggu on Jun 17, 2010 01:21 PM

..It is betrter to stop complaining and let the low lying areas stay flooded 2 months per year - than to risk a tsunami by altering the coastline.

Shame on you
by Andyboy on Jun 17, 2010 09:29 AM  | Hide replies

Shame on you politicians and local BMC. The people have been cheated every election saying that they will work on improvements to sanitary and to get ride of water logging problems, but I see these kind of news every year. Shame on the people who bring these people back to power. Even a buffalo is better than these Indians who bear things after every election. They should vote people who bring in development.

Shame on both of you. First realise, even if the god almight itself is ruling nothing can be done on the first rain as nobody can assess frm where the wastes are coming. It can be leaves from treas or plastic etc from remote areas and close the drainage put at the sides of roads hence water logging is imminent. Only thing we can do the timely action to remove the dirts on the spot wherever its lying. I seen many place instead of removing this small particles they ar pushing to the drainage whole, which is creating more nuisance.
