Trains were just 15 Mins late... Yes Harbor line got affected little more... Road traffic was usual...and that's normal in Mumbai... Nothing to NEWS about it...
The Monsoon has not yet properly settled, its just arrived in Mumbai, and look at the chaos and complains.
The TV channels are agog with news of disruption of the infrastructure in Mumbai.
Its also a time to welcome the Monsoon, with a smile, as we need it so badly looking back at all the problems, price rise, heat, water shortage faced by our country.
Lets hope the Rain continues to do its "good" work and as for the complaints - its entirely due to our inefficient, indifferent, lazy civic infrastructure and authourities.!!

Gitanjali U are absolutly correct.TV channels are not true reporter of situation. Nature is never selective- Rain falls only in agricultural land/dam area.Lookiing price hike in grain, vegitables, fruits, milk shortage of drinking water- Train delay ,Flight delay is not important for us as indian - the agri base country. prasad patwardhan

Folks remember next year to protest peacefully outside the BMC (taking a days's official leave from office)! make sure that the inefficient people inside are compelled to work and solve mumbai's monsoon miseries and reduce mishaps. And dont romanticise problems through movies like Tum Mile!!

Not because it is commercial capital, but because it is most affected being a metropolis. Rural areas/small towns/cities are not affted to this extent. It is vertical growth in Mumbai and authorities are not competent enough to provide required civic aminities nor they are learning any lesson from previous years experience.

You are right absolutely, its haughtiness that has brought the city of gold to naught so many times and then the persistence of human spirit makes it rise again
over population, pollution, increase in number of vehicles , will ruin this beautiful city within no time. Government ,civic bodies should try hard n do something , before its too late.

Its already late. 50 % taxes to Govt of India comes from Mumbai and Mumbai gets screwed by Delhi based politicians. Civic bodies are highly corrupt. SS or Cong, everyone is interested in making money. Common man has no value.
