CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE
by funny funny on Jun 16, 2010 11:20 AM  | Hide replies

Criminal negligence is a day to day occurance in our land.It is a luck that nothing similar to Bhopal has reoccured and it is an unluck that it occured in Bhopal.
The occurance of this can be avoided only by a hand in hand association of citizens, law makers and government. As long as we Indians including public public servants and the government has a will,Bhopal will reoccur else where.

Right action
by VB S on Jun 16, 2010 11:18 AM

The right action would be rehabilitation of people and right support which both state as well as center have ignored. It is too late and this time pasing punishing an old men when our own people were resonsible to run UC in India. We still have not learnd of the casual approach.

Arjun singh should be tried for abetment of crime and negligence
by PRAKASH VAZIRANI on Jun 16, 2010 11:16 AM

It all proves that Arjun singh and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi both of them collided to all Mr. Anderson scot free and hence Arjun Singh should be prosecuted criminally for abetment of crime and negligence since he had visited the Carbide factory few years before tragedy and certified in the Vidhan Sabha that the Union Carbide factory is perfect and there is no chance of any tragedy. Not only that after the tragedy he gives his official plane to Mr. Anderson ( a criminal to run away) , so is it not an abetment to crime?

I fully agree with Raman C that Mr. Arjun singh should be punished for his crime of certifying the Union Carbide Plant as safe in the Vidhan Sabha and helping by providing his official car and his official plane to fleed from India. He is criminally liable for abetment of crime and should be hanged.

he has only followed the dikhats of his seniors from Delhi. The news channel for the sake of the poor victims should dig in to the matter deeply and expose the traitor without any fear. People are there behind them. Can they do it?

40% of what was originally filed with court as compensation.
In this particular case the then congress government both at Centre and Bhopal and the judiciary of Bhopal and SC of India were totally corrupt which lead Anderson to have a safe passage to US without any scratch.
Inspite of the congress neglect of the Bhopal Tragedy, foolish people of Bhopal have again and again voted Congress back to power except for one period when BJP ruled but who did not take up the matter seriously and more or less behaved like congress.
Every political party in this country have taken for granted the sufferings of the people taking advantage of their stupidity and illiteracy.
There is total lapse of accountability and everyone are only to loot money as much as they can during their rule.

Infact the total loot by politicians and government servants, contractors, etc., of this country for the last two decade will definitely be more than a few thousand billion rupees.
People want politicians like Sibu Soren and Alagiri as their leader and its their fate and have chosen their destiny.

Questions to be asked
by Ramachandran venkatesh on Jun 16, 2010 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

There are interesting questions to be asked on this hue and cry being raised about Bhopal

If Union Carbide has to be held guilty they should have had a free hand in day to day operations. For example did they have the power to sack the local management if they found that they were not maintaining the required safety standards in the plant? If the answer is NO u have absolutely no business to go after Andersen's blood.

The "MILD SENTENCE" over which there is so much hue and cry has been pronounced by an Indian court. This mild sentence indicates that the people raising noise could not put up a solid case to get a harsh sentence. Disputes, whether civil or criminal should be settled in a court and not on the footpaths.

Why are our politicians not being charged with contempt of court? In a civilized society, if a person is unhappy with a court's verdict, he can file a review petition or go to a higher court. YOU CANNOT COMMENT ON THE COURT'S VERDICT IN THE WAY OUR POLITICIANS AND MEDIA ARE DOING.

Mr. Ramachandran,
Let me infrom you that neither the Indian Judiciary is sacrosanct nor our judges are sacred cows. The Indian Judiciary has become an integral and inseparable part of the Indian Corruption.

For the major part of the Indian corruption, the credit goes to the the INC (Indian National Cheaters, the synonym of Congress) in general and the Ganhhi clan in particular.

u r speaking like an intelligent fool. do u think the judges are saints? in a straighforward case like the bhopal tragedy what were they doing hatching eggs on it and laying eggs after 26yrs of the disaster? U would have not said this if your family would have fought for 26yrs without compensation. Many people died because of lack of proper treatment and money and thus many family suffered. Its easy to say big things when ur belly is filled and sitting in a ac office.
India has suffered mainly beacuse of so called intellects like you. No doubt it had almost 1000yrs of foreign rule.

dear atul I understand your feelings? What did you do for the last 26 years? You too have woken up only after the court verdict. Ramachandran is right in his views and I stand with his statements. Bhopal tragedy is Man Made and not technical flaw. Even if the Plant design was faulty, the project should have been scrapped by Centre (since they give permission)which they did not do. The entire congress ministry during 1984 both at Centre and Bhopal state should be held guilty for the disaster. Whatever has happened has happened and innocent people died. The problem now is what happened to compensation amount to be distributed to the next of kin and how the hospitals can refuse treatment to gas victims.
Shedding crocodile tears and debating for hours will not suffice. Even now it is not late. Let each individual indian contribute atleast Rs.5 and let corporate houses like HL, Glaxo, Ranbaxy, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Tata, Maruti, Honda, etc., come forward and set up a charity fund for Bhopal victims and you can see the smiles return on the faces of the existing victims.
Can we do it? I am ready.

I was a samll boy in 1984 so i could not react at that time i still have vivid memories of the same but.
I might be giving my views now but not supporting the system or judiciary for there injustice like your doing. You talk like netas that whatever has happened lets bring smile by giving compensation will giving some money now after so many yrs make any difference to there lives? or getting crooks like anderson, arjun singh to book will bring, think about it.
I woke up now as if u were always for it. If you don want to waste time debating then who invited u here. JUST TALKING BIG THINGS DOES NOT HELP.
I AM DOING MY CAUSE I AM ACTIVE CAMPAINER FOR GREENPEACE, I AM ALSO TAKING ACTIVE PART FOR THE ENVIORNMENT FIGHTING AGAINST THESE COMPANIES LIKE THE UNION CARBIDE AND NOW MONSANTO AND THE NUCLEAR BILL.
And u? looks like practicing law and want to become a judge.

Didnt those sound bites existed all these years???? wasnt these know all these years???? why was it never kept in public knowledge all through out??? because media's masters congress would had been in difficult position.

Public has a very short memory and we live in today, just today, what happened in past we forget and dont take lessons neither our actions change as a result of those, nor do we think about the future when it comes to various things that is being done today.

Just see how conviniently we have forgotten:

- bomb blasts of past and innocents lives lost
- 26/11 attack and failure of govt
- raja making 1 lakh crores
- sharad pawar deeply involved in ipl mess and also price rise due to his connivance and inaction
- tharoor's involvement in ipl
- air india bailed out of public money

and many more, only i have mentioned the things which have happened in near past which had a big impact on every citizen of this nation

see in last election every body was expected BJP will come to power even US govt. also predit the same but our people selected people those who are doing drama, glamore, slavery mentality on a particular surname

so we are deserved for all these and more
