Indian judicial system is totally flawed. we have a situation were a American kills 30,000 Indians by setting up a plant with faulty design and going ahead with operations even when safety procedures are not being met. Such a guy is given a government plane to abscond and treated like a VIP guest
No politicians is caught for facilitating his escape. The fact is Congress spokesperson Mrs Natrajan with all the arrogance says she will reply as when she wishes
The Indian judicial system and politicians all favor the rich and will do all that is possible to extricate them from any liabilities
A careful study of most of the judgments in Indian courts will see that the poor are always deprived of justice. On mere some technical terms justice is denied to the poor. The rich (including Govt Corporations ) get away with killings and lootings and the judicial system and politicians are always present to help them get away .
He was killed by said LTTE. Prabakaran was killed by said RAJAPAKSHE. ARJUN killed Thousands of poor. ANDERSON bribed Congress administration. The police and justice system bowed before United States. SONIA spoiled Gandhi family by ignoring cynede gas.
Anderson went to u.s. from Delhi and not from any other city. This makes the role of Congi govt. at centre very clear. Why this all beating about the bush, the person at centre was paid !!!!!
We Indians are all gah-gah about the Bhopal judgment. We can all agree it is too little too late. We are also mad that W.Anderson was let-off very easy and in a VVIP style.
Now American is expecting that the court verdict will bring closure to the issue. America has said there is no question of reopening the case from their side. America also hinted that growing US-India strategic relationships would be jeopardized if India harps too much on Bhopal issue.
The question to ask is WHY the lone Superpower which is facing another industrial disaster at home with B.P oil spill is pulling all the stops to get justice while showing a blind eye to the circumstances in Bhopal? Is it greed? Is it apathy towards others lives? Is it Superpower arrogance? Will it respond in the same way had the disaster occurred in U.K or Canada or Germany or Australasia? Heck NO.
In my view here lies the problem: 1. America has NO TRUST in our legal framework. 2. America has NO TRUST in our Judge's integrity. 3. America has NO TRUST in our police work. 4. America has NO TRUST in our investigative work. 5. America has NO TRUST in our total ability to arrive at justice.
Therefore, will America subject its citizen W.Anderson to a system they see as completely FLAWED? Heck NO.
If we don't agree with AMERICA'S assessment of our system just look at our BHOPAL verdict. And look at the DANCING by political parties after the verdict.
Do we TRUST our own systems? Let's not FOOL ourselves.
