for those who lost dear ones in this tragedy... empathy and support of their fellow citizens would be more comforting than compensation from USA or imprisonment of few individuals... until this news came in media none of us read what the tragedy is about and none felt bad... so let it be.. if you are really moved then do ur bit ... discreetly.

even if a group of sincere volunteers go there... hug them and cut down on their weekend extravaganza and contribute to victims... it would give so much more moral support to the sufferers ... who needs one time compensation or punishing the guilty ... if someone goes to 20 years in jail what would that change ? i will have same life right ?

First hang this judge.
Is supreme court watching?
No trial is required I suppose.
Because every thing is enormously evident that this pig must have eaten its habituals

You are a moron. Under Section 304 A of IPC this two years is the maximum punishment and magistrate has a power only upto three years. Those who involved the out of court settlement, CBI, GOVT., are responsible.

don't imagine Govt. to be responsible... there are good people in govt. too ...but we are a poor nation and our hands are tied down. you cannot confront a bigger power.... we should take this as a lesson and be tougher in future in giving licenses to critical installations... they should not be set up near densely populated areas.... we need a serious regulation of our system. As for those who lost dear ones in this tragedy... empathy and support of their fellow citizens would be more comforting than compensation from USA or imprisonment of few individuals... until this news came in media none of us read what the tragedy is about and none felt bad... so let it be.. if you are really moved then do ur bit ... discreetly.

Because we were starting to open indian market to their companies. we could not create an air of animosity. US govt. too was involved behind the scenes mister. Without their govt. approval u think their companies just come and do business ? hahaha you know anything abt international trade ?

It is not the job of US govt to protect indian interests
by shikari shambu on Jun 09, 2010 08:44 AM

It is the job of the Indian govt. I guess the Indian govt of 1989 felt that out of court settlement was protecting the country's interests at the cost of the victims of the tragedy.

John,
It is our mistake we elected spineless politicians.. Why to blame US, they know how to protect their own interest. But our politicians knows only protecting their personal interest, that's it.. This is the reason Anderson was let off by then CM of MP Mr. Arjun Singh.. who knows how much money have been distributed among all the congressy leaders... Only solution is to tame this menace by doing "RANG DE BASANTI" in our country because our mother land is bleeding porfusely...

Never trust the USA. It has its eyes fixed on its national interests alone. It is the country that has always been pampering the touge state Pakistan to keep India on pins. The arming of Pakistan to fight the USSR in Afganistan encouraged it to launch "Operation Topac" against India. It is even at present extending its full support to Pakistan despite the fact that Pakistan manufactures the Jahidis for export. It talks of peace but in reality is a warmonger.

Indian Guy,
You are right... we should look at our house before blamming others.. US does everything to protect is interest.. rest is all of least interest to them.. but our politicians are always ready to sell their own mother, sister and daughters let along the country... They can sell themself if given a good offer, anyway they have been doing it all along... nothing new about it... but misery of Bhopal is our own mistake... We have to correct ourselves then we can command anything to others...
