It is unfortunate that the opoosition BJP is in a disarray. Would BJP list out these in the next election? CAn it effectively carry the message to the people of India. It did not and could not do that with recession, nuclear bill, etc.

What is common between Anderson and Osama?
by niyama on Jun 09, 2010 03:43 PM

Osama killed 5000 in USA and USA attacked him in Afganistan. Anderson killed 25000 in India. But India allowed him to escape.

Now tell me what is common between Anderson and Qttrochi.

As a normal being, I do not blame Anderson
by mammen antony on Jun 09, 2010 03:38 PM

What was his involvement in the whole episode? You blame your dillydally attitude of the Judiciary who took 25 years to come to a conclusion, and that too with such a funny verdict which even prompted the The Law Minter to redicule it as " Justice denied, Justice delayed and all the more Justice buried". Will you for that matter extradite one Ambani or a Tata, or a Bajaj for any mishap of this magnitude happened in their companies abroad?

How Anderson left India on first place
by Raju Raina on Jun 09, 2010 03:29 PM  | Hide replies

Whos responsible for making arrangements to facilitate Andersons departure from India. Was Govt of india and Madhya Pradesh sleeping then, or both were hand in glove in his escape? These are some questions this country should ask in first place to our shameless polticians who are now shedding crocodile tears. Why not punish those people also?

OK, govt could have arrested or for that matter, even jailed Mr Warren Anderson. What would have come of it? Union carbide would have simply sacked him; The need of the time was swift monetary compensation. The fault of govt lies in getting authentic data on victims quickly and demanding compensation from Union carbide. But the govt did not do so because, it feared severing business ties with USA and maintaining cordial relations with US make more economic sense. Hence, the loss of lives in that tragedy was ignored purposefully. Its all about money honey
