Generation next !
by venkataramani ramaratnam on Jun 24, 2010 01:33 AM

In the last 26 years, the world has seen many inventions commercialised and multibillion dollars earned the countries in software and technology and 9 group of parlimentarians elected and assumed office; it's a shame that only now the government is thinking of terminal compensation( which needs to be approved by the Parliament ???).
The US government should not have allowed DOW to take over UC without setting aside the compensation payment and now the new company is disowning the liability. Cool US formula.

I sincerely wish and request each one to join in the prayer that the DUE COMPENSATION is given to the GENERATION NEXT atleast before otherthings to supersede.

lies with the Congress party, it was their PM & CM who facilitated the escape of Anderson, forced the CBI to dilute the charges and agreed to compensation which is a pittance.

Safety culture

Having worked in the field of industrial safety in India for many years, I know very well the kind of safety culture prevailing in the country. Even if the US company had laid down strict safety norms and processes the Indian management would have diluted them.

bhopal Tragedy

It is a shame for Indian judgement system that took 26 years to convict the persons liable for the tragedy. Respected Judges, pl understand that for one reason if your pension is stopped for 26 years after your retirement and you are not sure when it will be given to you without any reason of yours. How much pain you will have? Think of the people who pleads for justice before adjourning for petty reasons.
