We should atleast apply the Lessons Learned
by Satyakam on Jun 07, 2010 07:45 PM

We let the main culprit Anderson go scotfree..

The best we can do is to learn from past ..
Atleast now India should wake up and not push the Nuclear liability bill in so much hurry in current shape, which is talked about waiving the unlimited liabilty the.
The limited liability which is proposed will discourage the foreign companies not to take highest safety measures.

Dont we deserve this?

The fact that we have an army that doesnt know what its role is and that we have such an inefficient judicial system is just a direct result of our history.pacifism and socialism are 2 things that lead to failure. If u dont agree, then stop complaining

What has successive Governments done?
by Vinal Gandhi on Jun 07, 2010 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

If, as per Mr. Moily. it is fashionable for retired babus to make any statements, it is equally fashionable for the ministers to issue statements like "We will not allow it" and "We will take steps" and then to do absolutely nothing about it. There are millions of cases pending in the country's courts. What has successive Governments done to redress the issue? It is a fact that most of the high and mighty culprits escape only because of political backings. What has Government after Government done to stop that? If you cannot do anything about all these, what right you have to criticize retired babus?

You hit on the nail. Judiciary in India is crude joke. I would say Indian judiciary had failed miserably and there is no hope. It is better for those affected to adopt the policy of forget and forgive. If you think of getting justice, you are going to waste your entire life.

best justice for people would be to slaughter the whole family of culprits and then let the case run for another 50 years....let the big shots know how it feels like rubbing salt on wounds of people suffering..

FRANK COMMENT BY MR.MOILY
by Dada on Jun 07, 2010 07:34 PM  | Hide replies

I have never come across such a frank comment made by a Minister; What mr,moily said is surely from core of his heart and it is the feeling of everybody; justice delayed, denied and buried for sure for the REASONS BEST KNOWN TO THOSE CONCERNED; and as Mr.Moily says the bureaucratic comment of retired CBI officer Lal shows his deriliction of his duties and now throwing blame on Ministry; That means he might be interested for a promotion or any other enticement that time ; in return of his favour to external affairs ministry; Mr.Moily as a Minister now should take action against the officer by way of stopping his pension etc. since the officer himself admitted that he failed in his duties for fear or favour of external ministry. This shows every concerned took advantage at the cost of the lives of the victims. Can they ever be happy after committing such sins; be it bureacrats, judiciary or the chief minister of that time of tragedy. God will not forgive them for sure; The akrosh of the victims and their families will are even may be already haunting these perpetrators and supporters of this holocaust.

Why take action on the man who told the truth? Take action on the culprit who told him not to take action.

Only a person can feel the pain of loosing beloved one who lost his/her near and dear either in Bhopal Tragedy, Manglore plain crash etc. Indore is very near to Bhopal, why don't you go there and meet the victims to understand the reality?

any factory which uses raw material which is highly poisonous, and produces insecticides/pesticides used in agriculture should be located in far flung remotest part of the country where there is no or very less population of humans(while no other country permits such setup to be installed in their land).
Union carbide was located in the heart of the Bhopal city with all such poisonous substances, leaving no chance of error, when the mishap occured costs hundred thousands with their lives.
the culprit are those who allowed such setup in highly populated area
