Sohrabuddin case is the end of BJP
by natabar dey on Jul 31, 2010 05:42 PM  | Hide replies

Yes. This case heralds the end of BJP and the Hindu majority's political and social decline. BJP must immediately resign from all the states where it was voted to power and also withdraw support where it is a shareholder in power. This alone will help this depraved group of people calling themselves a party revive its image, though its chances of ever winning any election anywhere in India are over for good. This indeed is a master stroke of Mrs. Gandhi and her DMK allies-all secularists of India are really happy that, finally it was for one not born in this country to destroy the only menace of India-that is the BJP. We are happy that, as usual, the Left has been left sitting on the fence.

Another Commi woke up from the grave. Are you forgetting that all these govt.s are elected by people and all reps are also elected..not selected by some super authority as it is in congi rules states. Just give up this sham and live by facts. Soh was a dreaded criminal and he got killed...plain and simple.

the report clearly says that sohrabuddin opened fire on the police, was shot, injured, then succumbed.

so what fake encounter took place

"""On November 26, 2005, around 520 hours, Sohrabuddin came on a motorcycle at the place of offence and was identified by N H Dabhi, police inspector, who tried to stop and apprehend him.

But Sohrabuddin slipped and opened fire on the police party and tried to escape. In counter, the police team fired at Sohrabuddin and was rushed to civil hospital where he was declared dead"""

by vijay patel on Jul 31, 2010 11:10 AM  | Hide replies

No goverment has taken active interest in the case. Its just because Shorabuddin brother who has pursued and knocked the door of Supreme Court that the investigation is going on.

If any investigation is required that its important that people should go to Supreme Court with the evidence so a CBI inquiry can be initiatted. No point just giving example without doing anything about it.

What credibility do SC judges have given the PF scam? Tarun Chatterjee, who ordered CBI Probe on Amit Shah is himself not clean and Congress might keep him on the payroll through juicy placement.

The credibility of the Supreme court was questionable, now that the tainted Judge Justice Dinakaran is transferred to Sikkim. Supreme court judges overenthusiasm in the Sorabdeen case, especially when it is proved that he is a dreaded terrorist, is suspicious. India is one of the most corrupt coutries, so Supreme courtr judges need not fancy about getting a posting in the International court of Justice.

In that case, every one is free to kill anyone, who he think is anti national, criminal or we dont like him. Its free for all in this country.

What a great nation we will have. Shooting people like cowboys, people we dont like.

Stupid selection policy costing us dear
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 31, 2010 10:25 AM

Indian outlook is totally defensive. There is no aggressive intent, no planning to take 20 wickets. The selectors are more afraid of losing...so they don't even make any attempt to win. And depend on the toss to try and bat first. Even that will backfire against strong bowling attacks like RSA, Eng, Aus or Pak.

So, never mind the bowlers, Dhoni. Don't pretend that you feel for them. If you really cared about their workload, you would have picked 5 bowlers. Instead you prefer to protect your (already pampered) batsmen.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see more bowlers go the Flintoff/Murali route: forget tests and make easy money by playing IPL. There also, the bowlers are cannon-fodder, but the torture lasts for much less time, and there is oodles of money on offer.

Summing up, we want more dead pitches so that our Bradmans can boost their test average? After all, shouldn't Sachin get to 50 test hundresds?? Isn't that more important than winning tests?

And sponsors' darling Yuvy is feeling left out...he is sad that he missed scoring some easy runs. He is licking his chops and waiting for the next pitch to be of the same lifeless variety.

Paper tigers...

Excellent Report
by Ananth Krishnan on Jul 30, 2010 08:33 PM  | Hide replies

This really puts the facts bare with as little speculation as possible. Even if Sohrabuddin was a criminal, who are the Police to decide his fate by staging hi encounter. Besides, the only proof that he was a criminal itself is from the Police. If they can 'stage' the encounter, why can't they 'stage' the proof of his criminal deeds.

But what is also interesting is that no one in the AP police are charged, when the encounter actually happened in AP with the help of AP police. Is it because there is a Cong government in AP?

I think this whole episode also smacks of political agenda. I do believe the Gujarat Police is at fault, but so is the CBI

The biggest mafia group in India - Police with the state government as their boss
Their biggest rival group - CBI with the central government as their boss

Why don't Supreme Court order CBI enquiry into the death of journalist who was killed with a so called Naxal leader few days ago in a police encounter or is Court waiting for change of Government!

Even if this person was Naxal who are Police to decide his fate by staging his encounter.

Two reasons,
1) Political agenda from the Congress
2) the extremely less important reason - justice for Sohrabuddin's wife.
3) Even less important reason - justice for Sohrabuddin, given that he may not have been a criminal after all!
