Waste of time..
by Michael Angelo on Jul 28, 2010 06:58 AM  | Hide replies

Waste of time. Before contact with England India was the richest country on the earth. British ruined and destroyed India. India must never never never trust UK. USA on the other hand helped India. They air dropped huge amounts of arms and equipment during the war with China. China had pounded India in the war. But fearing American intervention China turned back. Nehru betrayed USA and turned to support Russia(non-alignment was fake). USA had no choice but to make friendship with Pakistan. India must reverse this trend and be friendly with USA. Never Never Never trust UK.

UK is currently known as 51st state of USA and very little difference in foreign policy between UK and USA. So I am confused with your statement, align with USA and not with UK.

Agenda of talks: more action, less talk!
by Grizzly on Jul 27, 2010 04:05 PM  | Hide replies

UK and India need to do more together and develop a better understanding of each other's views.
Mere talking wont do the job. There is an increasing danger from mooselems in both countries and it needs to be tackled immidiately.

UK is a second rate country- who needs the Brits? Kick them out, develop indigenous technology- after all, was that not the dream of Gandhi?

so far as i know, its the British PM's 2nd foreign visit after US. obviously, it carries importance. india sure needs good relationship UK and vice versa, in the changing global scenario. also being earlier rulers of india, britishers have responsibility towards india. we need to boost the relationship with UK n other western countries instead of just concentrating on US, so that we can keep good buffer and back-up, in case US fails and/or backfires (suppose in case of a war with Pak)!

Technology transfers
by srik on Jul 27, 2010 03:07 PM

India can negotiate for the technology transfers and Joint R&D. India cannot afford to sustain the pace of development only dependent on its back office work. It should move up the value chain by becoming the hub for Research and Development activity. Let the China become the "Factory" of the world. India should concentrate on becoming the "Research lab" of the world.

If James Cameron can make an animated Indian-based movie 'Avatar' which becomes the largest grosser in movies history; why not David Cameron can make few billions from India!!!

Indeed, it is a new century, and India had never felt comfortable with Political fore-bearers of Current Coalition conservative Leader Mr. Cameron UK.
But changed developments call for reorientation in the old Imperialist Country as well as in ,now, emerging economically bigger Indian Society. we are largely following West Minister Parliamentary Form of Democracy, and Common-law imposed under Colonial Era.So it is natural if old legacies of Confrontations of Past colonial Period are set aside despite British stuffed contempt for Indian People ,perhaps Half anglicised Indian Elite under Soniaji and Manmohan Singh could achieve a working Detente for mutual gain...D.
