kangress has totally changed the objectives and purpose of CBI. Now its just used to work for the party and serving the party's interests like finding out the people's pulse before elections, phone tapping of opponents and even insiders like Diggi raja, and for settling political scores and saving its own people from cases. And the irony is that the people are still getting swayed by slogans of aam aadmi whereas aam aadmi is getting the biggest blow, the economist PM isnt able to manage the economy, the yuvraj is being hailed by media and noone knows the views of yuvraj on matters like inflation, kashmir problem, naxal problem, food prices, suicides etc.
We know that all political parties and Govts. in power are undermining, interfering and manipulating public institutions; whether it is CBI, Intelligence Services, Courts, Public Services Departments, Defense Services, Income Tax Department, Banks, Railways or whatever else. They have made these institutions completely unprofessional and ineffective, rampant with corruption.
There is nothing new in what I said above. But what I want to explore is when someone or anyone (political parties or powerful people in Govt.) interfere in proper functioning of public institutions what is the recourse?:
What can the institutions do to repulse interference?
Do institutions just succumb to the pressure put on them?
Are there any provisions in the Constitution to protect public institutions from interference?
Are there any provisions in the law to protect public institutions from interference?
Can these institutions go to Court seeking non-interference?
What is the right thing to do?
After all, no politician or political party or minister owns our public institutions. These institutions are owned by us (we the people). The employees and heads of these institutions have the first obligation to protect the integrity of the institutions. These institutions have life of their own and are bigger than any politician. These institutions live long after the political party or politician or powerful people complete their elected terms in office.
We can argue for another 1000 years who is more bad; Congress? or BJP? or the rest?
We all have our own theories and motivations and political preferences. We all look at things from our own perspectives. At least we can agree on this.
The fact is all political parties have systematically undermined, interfered and destroyed professional character of our public institutions both at the state levels and national level. Even our Judiciary has been tainted and maligned and tarnished by our political parties collectively.
There is no institution in India that can claim 100% independent and professional in the duties they are entrusted to carry out. CBI, Police, Intelligence Services, Security Apparatus, Para Military, Defense, Research Organizations, Railways, Airlines, Public Services Organizations, Courts, Education Institutions, Health Care Facilities, etc, etc. None of these today are functioning 100% professional. They are constantly interfered and manipulated by political parties to their advantage.
We as a nation blame each other, blame communities and blame our helplessness. Political parties love to blame each other for the mess that we are in.
No one seems to have either solutions or capability to turn things around.
Some people think India will become superpower in 20 years. However, we are in clear danger of losing our democracy. Because for a functioning democracy we need functioning institutions but we are seeing them deteriorating under our own eyes.
CBI is doing the right thing with cases in Gujarat, but I am disappointed with what they are doing with 1984 Delhi cases.
It is CBI's job to look for and collect evidences and present them to Courts. It is the Court's job to determine if the evidence is weak or strong.
There are 1000s of witnesses who can step forward to describe what happened in Delhi in 1984, because it happened in broad daylight across the city. How can CBI say there is no evidence?
It is because of sloppiness like this that CBI is losing its credibility among public. Political parties are also accusing CBI of shoddy and motivated work, if it suits their convenience.
If a premiere institution like CBI is tarnished and becomes ineffective or afraid to perform its duties because of political pressure, then our democracy will be further weakened.
This should not looked at as Congress's loss or BJP's loss or CPM's loss but it should be see as PEOPLES LOSS
This Congie mass-murderer Tytler, who personally directed the butchery of thousands of innocent Sikhs, is being given the clean chit by the sycophantic Cong-owned CBI on orders from their political masters, while this very same CBI is all gung-ho in going after members of the main opposition party on the orders of their political masters- the venal Kaangress. This is the kinda 'rule of law' one can expect from these criminals- Kaangressi rules.
Shameless - they are letting go of man responsible for deaths of hundreds Patriotic innocent sikhs and starting to hound a patriot Shah with charges for masterminding elimination of a terrorist!! What an audacity - both done on the same day!! Is not the congress getting foolishly headstrong?
Read the last line: "The court rejected Jasbir's version, saying he had deposed for something that took place on November 3 while the case related to an incident of November 1, 1984."
SO WHAT? Are Judges ILLITERATE, No Common Sense? Is that evidence not related to that very case!. Should a separate case be necessary for every small detail?
SLOWLY CBI WILL WITHDRAW ALL CASES AGAINST THOSE IN POWER, BJP BEING NO EXCEPTION. CONGI, MMS & SONIA COMBINE HAVE MESSED THE ENTIRE INDIA & OTHER PARTIES ARE FOLLOWING RELIGIOUSLY.

CBI has no morals left. It will stoop to what the Congress party wants. So forget justice.
