Here is what happened: Train left from Last station. Someone got in (without driver's knowledge. As train started to speed up, driver was killed and the unknown person jumped off the train. Then it was free run for train and accident was bound to happen.

After starting from Rampurhat station, Uttarbanga Exp stopped at Gangadharpur stn which is 7 km before Sainthia. Just before Sainthia stn, there is a long railbridge over Mayurakshi river on which train speed should be 30 km for safety. That's why Uttarbanga exp should have had a speed of 20 kmph while entering Sainthia stn because it was supposed to stop at Sainthia.
Wonder, where is Mamata's Yatri Suraksha Commmittee? Are the famous intelluctual members (Subhaprasanna, Bratya Basu, etc.) trying to device the escape route. Won't be surprised if they come out with an idea that all the dead were Trinamool supporters and Buddha and Biman's men have murdered them.

Open the news paper - a new train is getting flagged off by Didi, every second day. How does the new train formed ? - By deducing one or two compartments from other trains and then adding them up. The employees are so busy with the flagging off cerempony that they cannot concentrate/focus on the ever changing schedule.

This is a clear sabotage . People like Brat will get some oxygen out of this. I wonder how funny CPM is. Just playing political game with dead bodies too. Shame shame !!!!I like to spit on that party

why is station master not being questioned and held responsible. Its is purely his responsibility unless he was sleeping at that time.
It is very easy to put the blame on a dead person. This happens to most of the accidents in India, whether it is a train or airline. The Railway Minister would do better if she puts more novel ideas to the safety aspect rather than publicity gestures of opening new trains every second day for obvious electoral gains for her party. She should understand that the Railway Ministry is for the whole of India and not just for Bengal and definitely not a part of her party.

She is unable to manage one department even after skipping all Perliament sessions. Just wait till 2011. You will see her and her intellectual friends magic.

Till 2011 everybody will get the actual images of your party @Brat. :), So try counting the number 30 if possible or not. out of every 5 person 3 is suspecting CPM or their friends' hand behind this
people are dieing now days so easily we cant predict that. Not only train its happening by bus, ship, car, auto, bike, flight, terrorist, whom we will blame yaar. All this are understanding between u and me. If i will save u one day, u will save me another day definitely.
Though Railway accidents had happened in past as well & cant be stopped in future as well , but the suspicion arises now a days , as major railway accidents are happening in West Bengal only & that too in such short interval & high casualities. Seems local state politics is happening at the cost of innocent railway pessangers. It'll be better if Mamta Banarjee is transferred to some other ministry , atleast poor pessangers can keep some hope, rest God is there.

This also crossed my mind. How can a driver with such a track record drive over 60 kms an hour where he was supposed to stop ? If anyone has played foul, it was done knowingly and with full knowledge about the section, which trains are there on the track at that moment etc. This is a clear case of sabotage. People are commenting nonsense here but everything is possible in that state where the so called goondas in white dhoti has actually rotten the state. Mamata is also to be blamed because she has forgotten her responsibility towards the ministry for the state. If she cannot handle it, give it to somebody else. There are many who would gladly accept it and would be more eligible than her. Atleast people would live, not die like this.

Not sure but a logical reason can be the change in schedule, every now and then. Maybe a couple of new trains got squeezed within the busy schedule, before or after the train. New trains are only getting introduced in WestBengal only, these days.

How dare you tell that? I will kidnap you and make you stay near the train's loo.And then I will treat you with the food packets of Duranto and will ensure that you die at the earliest. Or else onboard you in one of the trains so that you die of some accident!!

Absolutely right. Laloo was 100% more better than Mamta. She is not concentrating on Railway ministry she is more interested in other matters.
Mamta has to take the Railway ministry very seriously otherwise like this more happen.
