MAHARASTRIANS POLITICIANS fallen into a major trap by asking Begaum to be declared as UNION TERRITORY till SC give its final verdict on this issue. What I am thinking is that since 1947 onwards, Belgaum is the part and parcel of Karnataka State and till now people are living as Karnatakite. You cannot take that status and get it a new one immediately. What happens in Kashmir is the clear indiciation of our rulers inability to solve any problems arising out of border issues or inter state disputes in an amicable manner. By asking Govt. of India to delcare the Marathi speaking areas in Belgam as UT, then the same thing can happens to Mumbai and the arguments and supports to declare MUMABI as UNION TERRITORY will get its momentum. What MAHARASTRIANS wants is not to make any additional comments or alteration on border issues and LET BELGAUM is at Karantaka and MUMBAI in Maharashtra.
UT Status should be given to 1.Sholapur 2.Miraj 3.Sangli 4.Kolhapur and adjoining villages as these are majority kannadiga areas.
Abe buffoons you would never get belgaum...With your guys going to plead with PM about UT status,it is clear that you have lost the case and all the buffoons who are pleading with the center know very well that its a lost cause. Belgaum will be in karnataka.
pity Maharashtrians once who produced leaders like Shivaji maharaj, Lokamanya Tilak, Veer Savarkar- are being ruled by dirty politicians. sad condition you are in..
In a way Mr.Chavan has agreed for a separate state of vidharbha.Whats the centre waiting for? Grant immediate statehood to vidharbha.let thm prosper. JAI VIDHARBHA

Mr Chavan , you have spoken intelligently first time in your life , please make mumbai UT , we do not want to get beaten by khaj's goon to make a living in mumbai.
The fact is except for few districts like Shimoga, Davangere, Hassan and Haveri, rest of all the dists do not have kannadigas speaking this language. For instance, Bidar, Bijapur, Gulbarga and Belgaum have more maarathis
Districts of Kolar, Belalry, Raichur and Bangalore (U) have more telugus. If a real survey is conducted, half Karnataka has to surrender their districts to the neighbouring states

You are not Desh premi, You may be a Desh drohi. If your logic is adopted Mumbai has to be made Union Terrotory first, becuase Marathis are minority in Mumbai.

Then by the same, Bangalore has also to be made UT. Because there are more Tamils and Telgus, malayalis, muslims etc and Kanndadigas are minority in Bangalore.

First understand that my intension is not that that Mumabi has to be made UT, It is a reply for the comments of Desh Drohi.
Please do not spread hatred between Tamilians and Kannadigas, we live amicably in Karnataka. Our great poets Masti Venkatesh Iyengar, Gorur Ramaswamy Iyengar, Kailsasam, G P Rajaratnam, and Famous Film Actor Kalyan Kumar all are tamilains.
We all Karnataka people appreciate the bold decission taken by Mr. Chidambaram.

There are ample people from the North, South everywhere in Maharashtra. SO what do they do, demand their respective states in Maharashtra is it? Similiarly there are Maharashtrians in Karnataka south, Andhra, MP so what do you do demand a Maharashtra in each of these states haan. Apply some logic and write man.

the people who Desh mentioned are not migrants. They have lived in those regions as did their forefathers. It was a man made state borders that didn't take these Telugus and Marathis into account. Whereas the northerners in MH are immigrants so have no recourse to ask it to join their northern states.

Then konkan should be given to goa,mumbai as UT and vidharbha as a separate state going by yur logic.U have proved that yur head is filled with dung.
