When India allied with the USSR in cold war era, the USA wanted to infiltrate into India and have used ISKCON to send their direct agents as devotees and swamis.
It gave CIA a major penetration into India and its society.
Besides the CIA always has its Indian citzens as agents.
Since the US has allied with India more closely now, CIA is reducing its strength and deploying them elsewhere.
Otherwise how come the American Provincial Govts have found all of the sudden that ISKCONs soliciting funds at the airporst as a violation its laws? Werent these laws there before? Hogwash!

u are wrong. ISCKON was formed by a Hindu Guru called Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in India somewhere in 1950s or so. The founder later went to the US in 1960s and settled down there. It grew and grew to become one of the largest sects of its kind and today has scores of followers across the world. It has nothing to do with US Govt or the CIA.
