And it will take another many years and by the time it is ready, i hope few museums around the world will buy one of these to display great Indian engineering.
I think a wise person should know his capability and acts accordingly.
Just see how they overcharged for upgrades of the IAF mirage-2000 fleet. Also see how they forced India into taking Rafael fighters, even though we asked them for new mirage-2000 jets. Also see how they were almost disqualified from MMRCA competition because they refused to give the technical parameters of the Rafael fighter before the competition. Do not trust french, they have shown their ugly side even in the 60's when they pulled out of an ISRO launcher project out of sheer envy that India (land of coloreds) would be making strides in hi-tech field. I suggest looking to other sources, especially USA.

Nope, Indians who don't vote or can vote but vote based on prejudices are the real burden of this great country.

Who says so? Are u aware of its matchless contribution? My dad worked there for 20 plus years and it remains to date one of the finest jewels of our nation.
in the indian business, industrial and governmental scene, the scientific, industrial social researchers are just tolerated and kept at the tap.
jack of all and master of none, and the people who spin their way to powers be using machiavalian tactics with better communication abilities are the toast of the society. the researchers are the duds. u got innumerable example in our society for such people.
CV Raman and people like him escaped because they got recognition in international scene before being pulled down locally.

Keep dreaming that US and Russia will sell/share techs for charity. US is still plannign to sell outdated F-16 and F-18s to developing countries, F-16 to Pak and F-18 to India. But if Russia comes forward to sell advanced fighter planes then US will block it. US wants India to do what it wants. That should clear the clouds how arms suppliers hold us to ransom
Once Turbomeca Pays part of demand to 10 Janpath things will settle down and HAL board will be in agreement to pay double of Turbomeca is currently demanding.
Whenever India imports any aircraft, technology is transferred to HAL. By now HAL has technology coming out of its ears. Why then does it have to go to rapacious European companies for more technology? HAL should do everything in-house. Only then can we totally self-sufficient in defence matters.

If I borrow a book on marketing does that mean I will be knowing advanced marketing? Similarly, we are only copying the technology, we don't have inherent ways to improve on existing ideas. The tech pool is runnign dry. No matter how many techs we get via trade it will all be useless unless something drastically changes; inhouse development, maybe.
