All for the farmers Cause
by Truth on Jan 11, 2010 10:32 AM  | Hide replies

Where is the media highligt that Devagowda is fighting for the cause of the farmers who have lost hundreds of acres of lands to the Nice project and are fighting for the survival after loosing the land and they wat land back? Local media was quick enough to highlight his displeasure against yedurappa who is not doing enough for the farmers cause while farmers are suffering and no is bothered.

In February 1995, a Consoritum of Indian and U.S. based firms was established with the mission of developing the full range of residential, commercial, transportation and environmental infrastructure in the Bangalore-Mysore region. The expressway was viewed as a catalyst for community development, job growth and improved housing opportunities.

In conjuction with a 1995 Trade Mission to India sponsored by the Governor of Massachusetts, the Honorable William F. Weld, a memorandum of understanding was signed by Consortium members, Indian officials, including then Karnataka Chief Minister, H.D.Deve Gowda, and U.S. officials, which set the stage for launching the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project .

The contract for one of the largest transportation related infrastructure development schemes initiated in India in recent times, the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor, [BMIC], has been awarded by the Government of Karnataka, to a consortium that even in theory, never existed. What's more, this is a project that has been heralded as a "model" for India in the era of that benevolent tide that promises to lift all boats, Globalisation. The Economic Times, April 27, 2001, even carries a story on how this freeway project is going to bring the US look and feel to India, reporting that BMIC is based on a Maryland success story.
It is a minor consolation that a fraud on the people of Karnataka has been uncovered. A fraud that has been actively perpetrated on the decision making process of the Government, and is clearly against the wider public interest.

Just Do it ! and Express yourself
by Vishal Kumar on Jan 11, 2010 09:37 AM

Finally someone is openly expressing at least personal feeling and frustration towards politicians. The only thing lacking is he himself is from the group.
But I honestly thank Gowda to "express himself", we were lucky to get that recorded on camera to be seen on TV/Internet multiple times. I wish our "irresponsible" media does this more often with all politicians, red taped officers.

This country is running because of private organisations, industries and NRI. Government and its staff is just sucking our blood, money, killing up daily and pushing us hard to backward classes in terms of civilisation and development.

Be Indian, then be humans.

Thanks.

Thank God .. its recorded .. Deve Gowda always had a record of acting 'innoncent' !! .. he is filthiest politician i have ever seen .. by yesterday's crude behaviour he has not only brought disgrace to himself and his party (JD-S) but the whole Karnataka and the entire nation. India will always repent that it had a PM like Deve Gowda. He is a national shame !

Also last week he iniated a "Farmer protest" in Davangere to fight the atrocities on farmers by the BJP. Police had to lathi charge the unruly mob and 300 people were arrested, later it was found out 300 only 17 were farmers .. remaining were rented goons .. this shows Gowda's quality !

Re: Great .. it was recorded

Now some facts and Reason ... NICE was actually formed by Deve Gowda himself during the JD-S regime to construct roads and he assured he got a huge chunk of the govt. money from the NICE projects. Now the govt. has changed and he assumes those huge chunks of money are going to BJP leaders. Also he had a lot of land under illegal / anonymous names which have been acquired by the govt. and given to NICE for development projects. He also cannot fight a case or acclaim compensation as the lands are illegal and under annoymouns names !!!

So out of jealously and desparation he said all those words !!!
