Sinister designs
by Ninja Kirgi on Mar 19, 2010 11:45 AM

There is something sinister going on in MoD.
Under honorable A.K Anthony during last few years some of the big tenders won by european companies have been canceled without any reasons being specified. Even in some cases tenders have been allotted to american companies even when their products were found to be of technically inferior quality.

Officers who have been opposing the interference of honorable minister in defense procurement have been found suspiciously involved in some scams or scandals.

Now is it that someone is trying to do a favor for american defense suppliers or is someone trying to curtail the american presence in Indian defense sector? It needs to be pondered.

CIDCO we make scams
by sanjay on Mar 16, 2010 12:51 AM

Be carefull when you buy property from CIDCO, CIDCO has a habit of cheating/playing farud on buyers by manipulating the area. For example a 1000 sq feet carpet Module will be sold as 2000 sq feet in 1998 and as 1300 sq feet in 2004 all on the whims and fancies of the Marketing manager CIDCO.

Govt. of Maharashtra has floated CIDCO (City Industrial Development Corporation)
A State Govt. undertaking which is the most Corrupt undertaking of the Govt.of Maharashtra. Instead of being a agency for providing housing to the middle and lower class at reasonable rates it encourages price escalation for the benefit of few builders and
Bureaucrats.

Some of the Shady Deals of CIDCO include

Allotment of land under the 12.5% scheme to fictitious Companies

Change of reservation of plots for commercial use

Systematic Destruction Of mangroves and reclaiming land and blatant violation of CRZ Rules.

Railway Station Complex Scam
The station complex Built By CIDCO at Nerul , Vashi, CBD. The commercial areas was sold in the open market as carpet area ( 95-150 ) % loading in 96-98 at much higher rates. In the year 2004 The same commercial premises were sold as carpet area 30% Loading to friends and relatives and front men Mktg dept of CIDCO at a discounted price. Imagine built up area of two adjacent offices of same area are different.

Extra FSI to CIDCO directors Housing Society
Prathamesh society where the Directors of CIDCO and the PRO of CIDCO was allotted

What a joke! Our army is as corrupt as our politicians.

Neither will disrupt their gravy train.

The worst trial by media ever. Demoralize the Military first and create infighting before the enemies final blow. Our media is anything but pro India and it is HIGH time the government frames rules and guidelines regarding the same.
Time to drag these traitors over coals and teach them a lesson. They always manage to get away scott free. From fake stings of Tehelka to fake plants in discussion forums. The Media houses in India are the fifth columnists who play judge for a fee.

Defence Minister confused about his role
by Argumentative Indian on Feb 25, 2010 01:46 PM  | Hide replies

Should he be the kind of leader that pushes for modernization of India's armed forces, all three branches, land, water & air?
Should he be the kind of leader that pushes the forces to keep fighting fit, prepare strategies for survival for an India surrounded by 4th Century Barbarians & 17th Century Warlords (Chinese) armed with 21st Century Weapons?
Should he be the kind of leader that pushes for salary & perks in the Armed forces to match the IAS, after accounting for the subsidies etc. enjoyed by the forces?

OR

Should he be the kind of leader, that would focus on the simplest & most media savvy thing, which would demoralize the forces, undermine the authority of the Chief of Staff and finally, not really solve any issue for India. A leadership that requires the talent & skills of an average coolie.

The DM has made his decision.
This is India.
Self (Politician) first, country last.

Whats worse, he chose to give ear to a bunch of yellow journalists with absolutely NO proof. He should have stood by his men who sacrifice their lives for the country's sake. He should have at least cared to get to the bottom of it himself and reprimanded the media for carrying out a trial without an iota of evidence. The land did not belong to the army. How did it even become a scam? Clearly a lot of vested interests working behind the scenes....

Compare with Koda's case where inquiring officer of Income Tax was being shifted departmentally (politically?) when lot of filth was being dug out of involvement of beaurocrats and kingpins; the move was scuttled by the Judiciary who stopped the transfer at crucial stage of investiogation!!

My Dear Friend, its just cost Rs. 100/- Demand Draft for the RTI. PIL needs a letter duly signed in by many receipients. Both the thigns are not very tough. Are you guys ready then? If we want we can do it and bring the change. That is the reason these politicians are now wanting to change even RTI and limit its power. So, before they can do it why not we all use it and make them understand that what a common man of India wants?

We indians take pleasure insulting the system on slightest pretext.Media blew the issue out of proprtion without knowing the ways of the services. They have mired the reputation of outstanding officer. The Raksha Mantri played into the hands of media. There is no way a decorated officer will ever have peaceful sleep in his lifetime. The media and RM owe a apology to awadhesh irrespective of outcome of COI. This amounts to personality assasination

Dear Raj, try and understand that any Defence officer who has worked for so many years in the army and that too getting retired from such a senior position, will never get involved into any scam. I am also from Defence family and i can assure you of that. The only reason is this department of services is so very transparent that there is no scope of planning or doing any scam of this sort what media has made. There are many people who gets involved into any new things, many paperworks are there, many signatories are there from junior to senior levels and than only Army decides on something. Its not like our politician who can do any thing whatever the way they want. So question of this sort of scam never arises. Kindly have some respect for atleast Indian Army and its officers and i am sure after this COI is over you will believe what i am saying.
