Not much change in Pak's strategy: Stratfor
by Fazal Curmally on Feb 26, 2010 09:30 AM

The Taliban in Pakistan, are a spillover of the US inability to control Afghanistan after they invaded the country in October 2001.

Now, the various indigenous Jihadi groups that have lost their political voice with the Right wing religious parties losing their place sin Assemblies and the Senate. So after the Lal Masjid attack have decided to take on the Pakistani Government and in the process have been reduced to insignificance.

The Afghan taliban are a different ballgame and are not Al-Qaeda inspired like the Pakistani taliban. Pakistan has no fight with the Afghans and there is no reason to invade Afghanistan or confuse the 2 talibans. Our problems started in 1947 and we Pakistanis should be mindful of that.

Over the years, our politicians have reduced us to American boot lickers. This is something we are not. India has to realize we mean business. If they don't, then we will be fighting a nuclear war in the not too distant future. In all the time that has lapsed since the Mumbai incident, India are still giving us dossiers and copies of voice recorded of Indian citizens. What sort of a country are They? Are they so incompetent? Get real for God sake other neither of us will be there. All India does in the mean time, is say Pakistan is not doing

As for Pakistan we should have as little as possible to do with the USA's Afghan venture. Kick them out. Reduce the size of their embassy and if the need arises break off ties with them. Enough is enough.

There will never be any change in Pakistans strategy. The plan is so simple that the US can't see thru it or it does not want to see thru it. Pakistan will continue to support terrorism till it gets Kashmir and at the same time it will milk the US of dollars. All these organizations like Stratfor are US puppets and will write articles to cover US mischief. In short propoganda machines.

Send Indian Army to Afghanistan
by milind begoor on Feb 26, 2010 12:27 AM

India should act strategically and send about 100000 soldiers to Afghanistan , so that even Pakistan can be kept in check .

I have more faith in this think tank than most of the Indian gurus! Let us break failed and rouge nation after people fight among themselves savagely! Slowly choke the aid too!

Do we need this "think-tank" to confirm that Pak's agenda is directed against india with a hope that Pak people will forget the problems in pakistan in the 'anti-India' fervour. This is time and again proved. If we require an US think-tank or indian guru to say this, we are dumb.

naive

Pak is in mood to do harakiri.
Why should it ban Taliban who are fighting India in J&K ?
It is naive on the part of India and the Western alliance to assume that Pak will serve in their interest.
Pak stands to lose a lot and gain nothing if it were to act against the LeT.
