fire at Carlton Towers
by prashant patil on Feb 24, 2010 02:19 PM

my condolences to the deceased. i personally thinks it should be mandatory for each and every company and occupant of the building to undergo the fire safety training for every four months, which helps to save self and others life.

panic kills more than fire.

panic among people in this kind of situation kills more than the fire. my condolences to the deceased. it must be mandatory for every occupant of the building to undergo the fire safety training to save self from this kind of fire hazards.it's shocking to know that most of the occupants of the building were not aware of the staircase, they used the lifts during the fire.some people paid up their lives by jumping from the 5th floors, they could've waited for the rescue teams to arrive for some time as done by others in the building.

HOW DID THE FIRE DEPT SANCTION THE CONSTRUCTION WHEN IT IS MANDATORY TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTS VERIFED BY THE FIRE DEPT. HOW MUCH MONEY CHANGED HANDS BETWEEN MUNICIPALITY AND BUILDER? WE ARE A BLOODY CORRUPT NATION AND ONLY INNOCENT PERSONS DIE DUE TO THE GREED OF OUR OWN PEOPLE.

by Rudra Narayan on Feb 24, 2010 01:46 PM

Let we all Find out the buildings not having Safty!!!.
Why most of the building are not having fire saftty?? If fire safty is there, why employees are not aware about that??? Lets unite and start investigation and create a group and try to ban as much as possible:
What should be the Goal:
1-Identify all buildings not having fire exit.
2-Identify if Fire machine is available or not.
3-Identify whether the employees/ people working over there are aware of fire exit in the same building or not.
4-Identify few more and share your ideas.

Lets start a group and keep all thing to be done. Please help me or join with me to go ahead.

Fire in the building
by Praveen Kumar on Feb 24, 2010 01:36 PM

This is becoming news that is heard on an average once in every 5 days. The news and the respective departments are active only for 2-3 days. Later, everyone forgets and is in a dormant state. Its active again after another accident takes place.
One thing in common from the departments that are responsible for it are -
1. We are investigating this issue and will take the necessary measures.
2. It is due to short circuit.

Strict Rules and Regulations must be followed for atleast buildings have more than 4 floors. Nothing should be neglected especially the safety measures required at time of accidents.
In any case similar issues happen and safety measures were not available, the person incharge should be blamed and fined heavily. This kind of procedure must be brought the public awareness so that mistakes wont be commited again.
Small mistakes can take people's life.

Bangalore Tragedy
by Neetu Rawat on Feb 24, 2010 01:30 PM

It was a tragedy that could have been avoided. No sort of sympathy or words can bring back those lives which were lost. May they rest in peace and their families get the strength to bear the loss

fire in the building run run run
by satya saka on Feb 24, 2010 01:12 PM

It has been a common excuse for most of the accidents. Short circuit. High rise buildings are the fashion of the day with most of them violating all rules and regulations. this is not to blame the builder alone but also the govt which has a short sight about plans but knows how to take mamools.Buildings are without annual maintenance which leave the users high and dry. Its also horrible to note that the fire dept did not respond to the call immediately. India needs to grow not just in quantity but in quality.
