It is not possible to preserve living members of threatened species. Better to preserve as much data and samples as possible, so that some future people can regenerate them synthetically. Otherwise even that probability will become Zero and 5 billion years of natural evolution will be completely lost for ever.
The present focus on saving them is misleading and a mistake, because it prevents attention to what is really required and possible and instead wastes precious opportunity on a pipe dream that is impossible to fulfill.

Sure, if you notice all pictures are from rain forests in Colombia, Madagascar and Indonesia...the primates elsewhere evolved into terrorists, zionists, imperialists, colonialists,fascists, chauvinists...pity the wrong primates are endangered :(
