Srinagar, Feb 3: Family of 14-year-old Wamiq Farooq, Wednesday rejected Rs 2 lakh and a job as compensation from the government. “We are poor people and our sons are our only wealth. We can’t sell their blood. We will not do business with the sacrifice of our son. We reject the compensation offered by the government and pledge to continue the agitation to put an end to killings of innocent sons in Kashmir,” Wamiq’s mother, Firdousa, told a news conference at her Raniawari residence here. The family revealed that the government had approached them with Rs 2-lakhs monetary compensation and a job. They said they had received a telephone call from the District Commissioner’s office yesterday offering the compensation. They said while Wamiq’s body was still in police custody they had been offered Rs one lakh by police authorities to hush up the case and bury the body overnight. “But we refused to do so as we can’t sell the blood of our son.” “Has this Government made it a law that it will kill our children and then offer us jobs? Why is government killing us one by one? Let them kill us together,” Firdousa said. Demanding punishment to the culprits, the family pledged to continue the agitation with the support of the masses. Kashmir is do not appreciate tourism revenues & other financial benefits they enjoy from rest of the India. They have no appreciation or understanding of the bonanza. Let us avoid them for a few years. The main stream locals can then decide if they want to support the seperatists or India.

Lets award them with aecnomic blockade. Lets see how they can survive without Indian help and business in india. I feel so sorry for ordinary kashmiri's, its mostly srinagar which is under the influence of pak creating these vicious cycle of violence.
