Subhash's blind faith in this retrogressive party is proof enough of the stranglehold this party has on the Marathi Man-ooze!
The "little" turd is only 20. His Father is in his late forties. The clan is going nowhere ..... at least for now.
The only way things can change are if the Man-ooze is nudged out of Mumbai.
With never ending supply of prospectors, both well-off and poor, pouring into the city unabated on a daily basis, that may be a way to dilute the Man-ooze influence ultimately!
But between now and that day, everybody in and around Mumbai will have to endure this nuisance!!
Both are family ruled, divisive and lack democracy within the rank and file...may be Shiv sena is less corrupt?..not so sure..I think BJP should focus on its own strength in Maha like Gujarat and other BJP ruled states.

If Marathi is so important to you Subhash, then what the f3uk are you doing on an English news website? You should be hanging out on the "Saamna" or "Loksatta" website. Marathi has its place and Hindi has its place. Marathi will never become as popular as Hindi as long as there are territorial retards like you in Maharashtra.

most of the educated marathi folks are discarding their language and switching to English. incidentally other city-states are welcoming diversity (like Chandigarh, Baroda, Bangalore and Coimbatore). The new india is about opportunity and potential. It is not about language and historical affiliations. It is ok to be patriotic, but keep your emotions and pride to yourself and show it in your actions and the goodwill you bring to the people around you.
Burying your head in the sand and saying everyone is an outsider and you are a "true" patriot will not take you anywhere. This is my opinion which a lot of people in this forum will support.
Incidentally if you are so loyal to Marathi, why did you learn 4 other languages?? Reason - knowing one local language is not enough to survive anymore.especially an obsolete and non-technical language like Marathi.
As for Mayawati, I dont agree with her policies as well, but she is not on this forum in the middle of the night spewing ethnic venom on everyone. You are. Hence I am asking you the question and not her.
Incidentally, Subhash is a name of a Bengali freedom fighter (Subhash Chandra Bose). Why do you have that name??

1] Incidentally, Marathi People did not discard their Language, rather Outsiders Like Abu Azmi and Bhaiyas in Slums of Mumbai did.
2] I did not learn 4 Other Indian Languages for either Carrier or Money.
I have respect for National Unity which made me learn them.
3] Particularly, I learnt Sanskrit, because It brings Mother closer to Daughter. Sanskrit is Mother of Indo - Aryan Family.
4] Incidentally, Marathi People were UNAWARE OF, "WHAT IS HAPPENING IN other parts of India. After 1990 when Traveling in Kanya-Kumari - Chennai or Punjab was increased, it was - RATHER SHOCKED TO MOST OF THE MARATHI PEOPLE THAT OTHER STATES MAKE "// NO COMPROMISE//" FOR THEIR MOTHER TONGUE, UNLIKE WE did for over 6 decades.
5]Marathi is not Obsolete AT ALL. WITH MY STUDY OF 5 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, I FIND MARATHI MORE POWERFUL THAN MOST OTHER LANGUAGES.
It has Tradition of great Literature, WHICH MADE HIGHEST CONTRIBUTION IN FREEDOM MOVEMENT.
