Caste counts
by Sriram Veeraraghavan on Dec 15, 2010 08:46 AM  | Hide replies

It is unfortunate that the Ex CJI has lied to protect Raja who belongs to his caste. But what people dont know is that it is alleged that the then President KR Narayanan (also from the same caste) - withheld promotions of some judges to the Supreme court till Balakrishnan was promoted in order that Balakrishnan will get a chance to become the CJI. Some RTI will hopefully dig this out some day

perhaps, one reason why raja did all his mischiefs with confidence was tghe fact that there was a dalit cji at thsat time who will not let him down in any case. situation has now changed and the effect is seen, he has been forced to resign only bec of uncomfortable questions asked by the supreme court.

Pathetic
by Bharath Varsh on Dec 14, 2010 09:56 PM  | Hide replies

One hates to comment in this fashion, but it is quite obvious that a Dalit protected a Dalit. And then they have the cheek to say that they are being persecuted by everybody becasue they are Dalits. Scams unfolding and lakhs of crores being looted even as we read and comment.
