This list is crazy. It is full of polititians only and it is showing Ms Sonia Gandhi placed last.I agree, the list is not in order of power, however, such list should always be put up in some order.
How about Ms Chanda Kochar, Arundhati Roy, Nita Ambani et al.

Yesh, they are also powerful, however, the subject powerful women known in India. Ofcourse, you can add Katrina Kaif in the list.
In today’s India, Mamata is just 2nd to Sonia in terms of most popular.
Why rediff ignoring her, because she is honest and bold or to satisfy LF.
WB is 4th Largest populous state of India and she enjoys absolute confidence of 9 plus crore people. Except recent victory by Nitish Kumar no other regional leader is not so big as her. Even in Nitish’s case BJP contribution was maximum. Mamata has 27 MPs in her alliance which is 5% of total Lok Sabha MPs but still she does not figure I the list.
Not to speak her monumental success as Railway Minister when she has done miracle by developmental activities.

I hope you also read the article about WB being most indebted state in India. I dont know why you would call her "honest"
And I seriously havent read a single "developmental activities" as the Union Railway Minister since the Nano got out of WB.

With so much support in Bengal, has she ever got majority in assembly? I certainly agree, she may be honest, but that is not enough for the people of west bengal.

Her charms are gone. I think now she should retire, if she is not able to come back to power in the comming assembly elections
