really surprise at congress high command
by KATIKAM SREENIVASAREDDY on Dec 03, 2010 05:48 PM

It is really surprising how the congress high command is running the state after demise of YSR. Now congress is almost dead in the state. They can rule now as long as they can with no chance of coming back to power with the exit of Jagan.

Time for BJP to concentrate on AP
by Sunil Dupakuntla on Dec 03, 2010 05:48 PM  | Hide replies

BJP which has 2-3 MLA seats in AP should concentrate to improve its base in the state. By Joining hands with Jagan and backing to make CM will help BJP to increase its MLA count significantly. Supporting Jagan will help BJP to win more MP seats from AP.

Jagan and Karnataka mining brothers are very close so BJP can contact Jagan with help of them.

BJP flourishing in two big south Indian states will help the party to give tough fight to Congress at national level. Its chances of coming to power will increase at the center.

Supporting Jagan and they benefitting at center is similar to what BJP is following with states like Bihar and Orissa.

Jagan has hugh media empire in the state, he has good community base which will help BJP flourish in AP.

BJP can use the same strategy next in TN after the demise of Karunanidhi.

BJP should seriously think of this strategy instad of stiking with TDP which has lost its credibility.

Seshadri sir.. you need to know a few things..

Nitish is not a saint.. during 2009 polls, the zxtian mafia spent money like windfall to ensure BJP defeat..

They first bumped off swami laxmananda through maoist mercenaries.. they then paid Naveen patnaik's trusted aide some chap named Mohapatra hefty sums of money to split BJP/BJD combine.

They tried to do the same to Nitish kumar as well, but they could not make gains.. he resisted the lure of hundreds of MILLIONs of untraceable dollars - great man.

But his decision was pragmatic:

a) BJP has the solid support of bhumihar & rajput communities of bihar.. these people are loyal voters, who just dont want to switch to CON party owing to the party's tacit links with Maoists (who are no. 1 enemy of landlords)

b) Advani (who is mocked so much sadly) is one of the greatest influences of Nitish's life.

In AP, BJP has no such strong backing from any 1 community/caste.. which makes it easier for BJP to be used and thrown by tiny parties like TDP/TRS.

If BJP really wants to grow in AP, it needs to have solid backing of at least one of the three castes - reddy, kamma or kapu. By solid, I mean 90% support like how its in Bihar.

Same with TN.. just get both Vanniar and Thevar castes into BJP fold (with 90% support) and you see DMK will start worshipping LORD RAMA just to ally with BJP.

Gaining power is nothing, more important is Implementing the promised agenda.. what use is BJP if its not allowed to fulfill important national agendas ?

Tackling Corruption is important, but national issues are also even more important.

Unlike last time, CBN should tone down his objection to BJP's national agenda.. they should get a pre-poll agreement atleast on:

a) strict anti-terror law

b) article 370 special status to kashmir must be scrapped

c) uniform civil code

d) deportation of illegal bangladeshis

We dont even need RAM temple now, thats for SC to decide..

But we urgently need to put an end to Kashmir dispute and clip the wings of SIMI/IM/HuJI and other radical groups.. also prevent degradation of hzcindu religion under the fraud charges of "saffron terrorism" and what not.

BJP MADE THE MISTAKE IN KARNATAKA OF ALIGNING WITH REDDY BROTHERS & THEY ARE PAYING FOR THE SINS.
IF THEY ALIGN WITH JAGAN IN AP THEY WILL LOOSE ALL MORAL GROUND OVER CONGRESS AND WILL BE DOOMED FOR ETERNITY.

let the legislators in the party honestly select the leader,
by viswanatha seshadri on Dec 03, 2010 05:41 PM  | Hide replies

instead of the high command imposing a leader on them from delhi. get them in a meeting, let them give their choices in closed covers. if no leader gets chosen by more than half the number voting, repeat the process again and again until some name emerges as having support of majority of voting legislators. lock them up until they succeed in choosing a majority-agreed leader.

sonia-congress might like this procedure really, bec it is the method used by cardinals of vatican in rome, for electing the new pope, after one passes away.

sonia might have agreed for ysr's wife succeeding him
by viswanatha seshadri on Dec 03, 2010 05:26 PM

on his death, like the way she herself has taken over the congress at national level after rajiv's assassination. jagan couldf have proposed his mom for cm, with himself as deputy really running the govt.

but then, making it a rule that the wife or son should succeed any cm dying in office might have dangerous consequences. power-greed in wives and sons might even induce them to plot the accidental death of male CMs in power in different states.

by Prakash Chandra on Dec 03, 2010 05:17 PM

Its now an open secrete that Congress in this country is a B*corrupt political party. But the latest thing in Andha is also interesting. One can see that how greedy the ministers/leaders of this party are to get creamy portfolios so that they can also become another RAJA overnight.
