Forget the world.. there are millions in india poor, downtrodden, living BPL.. who do not have any clue about the leaders of India.. because these so called leaders did not lead indians towards anything than corruption. So it is not a surprise that many in the world does not know us. If anyone knows india they know because of its corruption like pak known for its terrorism & afgan known for alqaeda.
only indian media is fuelling the thought that india is rising and blah-blah.. actually noone in the world cares about this country.. it is still a third world country in the eyes of many.. go to china and ask about india.. nobody cares about india..they see US as the only country to overtake.. but bloody india cannot think beyond pakistan..idiotic spineless country without any pride or ambition.. all one cares is about how to loot and make money..
1. The way the western world is paranoid about any number of small problems, and ignores all types of serious problems,
i say that it is better that they dont know much about India.
2. Remember, India is one-sixth of humanity and China is one-fifth Do you think Indian and Chinese villagers know about Donald Rumsfeld, Eric Holder, Robert Gates, and David Petraeus?
3. Why should it be so important if Americans don't know about Indian leadership?
If they cannot be expected to read wikileaks cables about their own govt properly, why should we harbour ambitions of being known to such a stupid populace?
Europe is much better than America.
We need to be known to China, Africa and Brazil. That makes sense.
What you think of your people, your Govt, your administers, your policies and programmes that matters, not your neighbours. On that count, this whole exercise to belittle our own leadership is an exercise with an ulterior motive to cover up the impuissance of the main Opposition. In brief the columnist is trying to prove that Secular, Moderate, peaceloving MMS is a a dullard and Modi is the only nationalist popular Democrat on the face of the earth.

nobody wants EVMs with printout of current tally for voter after they vote and display room for party representatives to show current tally.
hugely invisible and inconspicuous in the west (despite the extreme labours of Bollywood's denizens to get noticed there), the Indian nation too keeps getting ignored in most public fora in the developed world !!
