Well Said Mr. Kake!!!
People must have Patience and help the Authorities. But its also important to Cretisise the Machinery that they are keept on toes.
The problem in many countries of Europe is resolved within hours just because of Public being aware of ... Emergency Task teams are always keept on toes.

Nothing different...
by Oye Kake on Dec 02, 2010 02:48 PM  | Hide replies

We people cried when our public transport scrambled whenever there is some calamity. And then starting to blame our administration;
NOthing different even in this fully developed countries the public transport gets a hit;
I wonder if these people would have to manage population like us they wouldnt have found the way...

So guys stop crying about our problems it happens every where..we are still good if not the best better than worst.

Yes Europe also suffers crises, but there is always a preparation and not ignorance like India.
here road are salted and girted well in advance of first frost.
And rails are lubricated with anti freeze liquid.
after all that efforts which we the public know gas been carried out .
And the elements beat the human effort no one says a word because all has benn done that could be done.
In almost all cases mother nature always win.
man can only assume his efforts will work.
In wake of all that public turns a blind eye towards the government and carry on with its work.
Last year there was a delay in Oiling Salting and girting of roads and there was a an outcry from public a reason for not preparing of the infrastructure was demanded and the parliament had give answer.
Don't forget we pay taxes three time once to the central government which is deducted at source,Then to local government which is paid monthly and finally VAT on everything we buy except food and children clothes.
So we have right to the services and an answer on demand.
In India public is no one and has no say in any government affairs those affect public although they also pay their taxes just like us.

Its easy to wish, but the reality is quite different. The conditions are quite worse. We cant even think out of stepping out of our house. I too thought about the way you do but my opinion changed when i faced the truth.

I too have expeirienced the same and there ar lot of other issues like always need to wear jackets and cover up in the winter,icy roads to drive on (no other options in most of US) . Depression due to long cold months and shorter days in Canada,Norway,Sweden,.....

Snow is good maybe for one or two days then it becomes problematic . Cold and snowy weather is good atleast in some ways is a big myth especially in warm countries.

Once the people from the warm , hot countries visit and stay for some time in the colder regions they realise the above.

And what will you do in Europe when there is 6inch of snow ecery where.
Snow looks good when it is still fresh, but once it settles down and starts melting the surface becomes like glass and is very slipery.
If you slip and fall down you will defiantly break a bone or two if not at least your will hurt your hip and suffer for rest of your life.
cars slip.buses slip. especially on slopes when you will unable to break and finish up in hitting the back of the vehicle in front.
Your personal insurance and car insurance will go up by hefty 70% if you had an accident.
SO Stay in India at least it is warm up there.
