Indians dont need to laugh at or pity the Chinese people because in India every random place where there is a politician (damn, a defeated candidate in particular) visiting the area creates the biggest traffic jam which nobody knows when it will clear or how much it will move, anybody with me on this? I will be glad to know if anything is different in your state?

This trafic Jam indicates that China has developed in such a momentum that it cannot control the things. This usually happens when one had chewed more than what he can digest. This what happened with Japan at the time of World war II and it started to conqure neighbouring country to quinch its thirst for resources. So soon we can see expanoist China with eye on neighbours resources to control and expand its internal and external market.

The Chinese growth though has been tremendous still China is building enough infrastructure to sustain it. It is unlike India where we see more of individual houses to block the land, in China more of community houses or huge appartments even in the small cities, so that they save a lot of space. It is unlike ours where we plan only keeping in mind the present situation, as is evident from our fly overs and high ways. by the time they got completed traffic becomes more than what can be taken care of by the new roads. Chinese xpress ways are now even like the US ones, planned nicely to take care of future growth. The recent JAM is only temporary and that to caused due to road repair.

I have heard that once the Chinese people were allowed to own only bicycles as their personal vehicle. Motor cars were used only for public transports. With the intrusion of CAPITALISM in China, people are allowed to own more and more personal properties like cars, etc. Use of motorable vehicles for personal business purpose has also boomed there. We will have to remain spectators only when such a day comes in India.

Dear friends pls note that, though Chinese people were not allowed to own private motor cars. Their use for public transport was not discouraged. In this way, we can also decrease our Carbon foot print along with reducing the traffic jams.
