Insult

Dear author
King Bali is not a mythical king. Infact none of the stories we read are mythical. The Britishers are ignorant and jealous of us and used the term myth. Do you mean to say that those who are celebrating are fools. Please dont insult those who are celebrating.
Happy Onam my dear Malayalis. I am not a Mallu but I like your land and culture, please keep it up. You are a pride of the nation.I am living in the UK and will speak about Kerala if I have to speak about India.

For these so called liberal minded peopeles of India anything of ancient India is Myth. As if we do not have any history at all.
And our Govt. and leaders are to blame. And of course the first culprit are the natives of this land

It was all done by Jawaharlal Nehru and out first muslim education minister who completely eradicated true Indian (Hindu) history and introduced 100% western education. The result is now we are juse mere slaves of westerners imitating them in every thing.

you are right. I have to agree with this. Also they want to completely turn it into an Islamic state. I think we should let them doit becos India is a secular country. Our Soniaji will file a case in teh supreme court that Mahabali never existed on this earth to ease their job. I dont know what will happen to these traditions.

Agreed. Rediff - could you correct the falsify statement? OR could you prove how this is mythical?

If you do not have enough knowledge about the matter - then please stay away from controversial words/topic.

- a proud Indian.

Indeed it was one of the motto of British to make us believe that all our sanathana-dharma and its glories to be a 'myth' by eradicating sanskrit from mainstream learning. They've hit us on the root and succeeded to a great extent. Most ppl don't believe that Sanskrit was a common-man's language.
These media guys - sound an absolute illiterate on our own heritage, lack minimum education of their forefathers. Date right page long boasting about all-foreign with pride. As if 'all english/western' would emancipate them.

Maa Bhaarath sabkaa raksha kare.

Jai Hind.

Brainwashed Pseudo-secular mouthpieces
are not aware that all our heritage is derived from Itihasas and Puranas, they tow the slavery path prescribed by Macaulytes and outsiders.

Iti-has means "it was like this". Though the epics contains liberal dose of the author's imagination, not all events were imaginary.

We all should of proud of the miracle called India, with over 1600 languages and followers of all maj0r re1igions in the world.

These people don't know about 4 generations before... tell them something about their Grand.Father's grand.father, they don't believe... they ask a video/audio about proof.. such is the ignorance... and forget about making them believe about things happened Yugas before(millions of years before)... most of them want to think that Earth is just born before their own advent. If you say "lacks of years back..." - just no ability to bear it.. its the West's spit in our minds throwing these most narrow minded analysis over time-and-space. God Save!
