A very badly managed operations by so called commonadoes
by Rajendra Gupta on Aug 23, 2010 10:11 PM  | Hide replies

By putting name as a commando an idiot does not become an outstanding soldier.Soldier also needs skill, training and brains, all.
This operation as was covered by TV was looking childish with toomany people around. In the process several innocent tourists were killed. This is no operation. The hijacker could have been made to wear out with time. The bus could be quietly gased with some chemcial to make every one faint inclduing the hostage.
A drama of media presenattion could be done as desired by hostage till he was found off guard.
Killing is very easy.Just shoot every one in bus blidnly and then call it operation successful.
The skill lies in strategy to corner the opponenet with minimum damage.Saving lives of hostages was supreme duty of police.

I cant understand if the hijacker wanted to put demand why it was not done. That is okay.Any one can put demands and should be listened patiently and judgement delivered after fair consideration.Very poor show!.Violation of human rights of both hijacker and tourists, the poor hostages.

LISTEN TO GRIEVANCES
by Shivanand Prabhu on Aug 23, 2010 10:02 PM

LISTEN TO GRIEVANCES

If every responsible person holding office be it Politician, Bureaucrat, Uniformed Official just paid heed to the Grievances of ordinary citizens then no one will take the extreme step of picking up arms to express his Grievances.

No sane individual will pick up arms till he is cornered and he is left with no options.

I thought of this too. This may have helped in this case but future incidents like these will not as the trust would be lost on any kind of assurances.
Hence, assurance followed by reinstatement and a quiet Russian style supari would close the issue well.

If Vajpayee's BJP was ruling Phillipines he would have reinstated the Army Officer and set hostages free. Feel sorry for hostages died.

Bus hijaking in Manila.
by MrinalKant Chatterjee on Aug 23, 2010 08:33 PM

Although with the help of Commando, the hijak drama is over with death of innocent tourists along with hijackers. It seems, the Commando have taken more time to storm the Bus, which might have been the cause of casualties. However, every thing is good which ends well.
