Chinese Sea Power
by David Mumbai on Aug 17, 2010 07:15 AM  | Hide replies

The author is a employee of Kings college, a British enterpirse for the well being of Britain and NATO. Whose bidding is he doing.
India cannot take care of its internal situation in Kashmir and North East and the Maoist. Look at how the US treats India, how the US newspapers report about India. Any New York Time readers and Washington Post readers. They always humiliate us, look at the pictures they display, look at the article in Time magazine by a Jewish author about Indian immigrants in NJ. So let China rise, we Indians are incapable, our middle class is screwed up, look at the type of leaders we have, look at our newspapers, guess who controls them. India cannot effectively deal with Pakistan, does not matter if Pakistan bombs us to death. The US always intervenes on behalf of Pakistan and we succumb.
So let China rise, they deserve it. India's democracy is unless to China's market dictatorship. If China is not India's friend that does not mean the US is. If Muslim countries are not India's friends that does not mean the Jews are. Look what Charles Schummer, Jewish senator said about India's IT firms!
So Indians get the perspective, stop being docile chicken, sheep and ruderless. Put your house in order. The US is about humiliating non-white people. Look how the US treats you at their consulates, airports, newspapers and in National policy.

How does it matter what Charles Schummer talks about Indian IT company. Fact remains that China is the biggest threat to the civilized world.

China is not flexing its muscle
by XianYe on Aug 17, 2010 05:27 AM  | Hide replies

China is concentrating on developing its economy, feeding its people and make the country a proprous one. It is the US which has been flexing its muslce all over the world, and for years. Are people accustomed to be threatened and bullied by the US? Where there is the US, there is no peace and stability. The US is the only country that does not want to see peace and stability in any parts of the world except its own backward. The US is THE trouble maker. The US is THE source of all evils. The world will continue to live with violences and wars so long as the US remain the bully of the world.

On your last statement - Is that why now China wants to be the bully of the world?

How is China concentrating on developing its economy? Its claiming its rights over everything in Asia? Right from Tibet to Taiwan to parts of India to now, the South China Sea? Why don't you see the reality?

As much as I admire China for the kind of economic development it has made, I don't like the country for the pure fact that it doesn't respect the existence of other countries and wants to control half of the world, if not fully, by imposing itself. It has every right to feed its people but not by snatching the rights of people from other countries. I wish Japan goes back to its old ways of WWII and whips China.

one can understand if a chinese take pride in it. What Lanka has to do with it. It will be worse than India taking pride on USA's success.

you could have rather said in China they are teaching Sinhalese (not just a few scholars but as a school syllabus).

come on man, leave the inferiority complex and learn to live peacefully in your country. Lanka has lot of natural resources and a strategic location, if put to use you can just write what i said, they will teach Sinhalese not only in China but elsewhere too.

China : G.K.PILLAI
by Kolappa Pillai on Aug 16, 2010 10:33 PM  | Hide replies

The indian ocean belongs to the global population. The naval exercises are common thing. The submarines are occupying its place anywhere within the seven seas. The competition between the nations may result up many problems. Power spoils our relations.

it is a common phenomenon that countrys will flex there muscles immediately after acquiring power. this is a tactic to get more world attention and superiority.

i dont think there is an alternative than to give the G2 status to china along with US. Leave the south china sea to china, since they are the most powerful in the region. a hard bargain could be useful on the economic area with all the beneficiaries, but china may not be willing to tolerate supercarriers in their vicinity. they have the might (though now very very small, but looking at their interest in seas, it is going to be significant (even then miniscule infront of mighty US))

a power struggle escalating to tension is not good for any of the contestants.

We on the other end should try to keep up our defence since immediately after the south china sea they are for sure to come to our back yards with new carriers and latest weaponry.
we cannot match them but we can be prepared to retaliate in case it runs off. our current pace is not good we need more ocean mindedness for atleast next 20 years.

and to Mr. Kolappa Pillai i used to wonder why you write GK pillai in all your messeges, and if you dont mind pls do tell. I initially thought the reply is something to do with home secretary's messege!
