Keep Nuclear Power out!
by Rivka Mishra on Mar 14, 2011 11:39 PM

Nuclear power has fallen out of favour in a number of Western countries. Public opinion is against building nuclear power stations.

Especially after what we seen in Japan today, nuclear power cannot be considered a safe, clean option.

The US can therefore keep its nuclear technology to itself!

by unnikrishnan vasudevan on Feb 01, 2011 11:13 PM

India must build its own high accuracey inter continetal balastic massile system that could couse distrucyion to any part of the world which alone can save us from other super powers & pakistan.A good missile shield syatem should be developed to counter any missile or aircraft attack which should be of 100% accurate & efficient. All could be indegeniously made with ISRO BHEL & Indian Private companies thus saving India from imports & give employemnet to our space & electronic engineers.

Nations beware
by Govind Lal on Aug 10, 2010 09:01 PM  | Hide replies

One of the best way to bring one nation to be ‘obedient’ to another is to make them weak in finance, food production, Human resource developments. Look at the present scenario in India. We are being driven to a debt trap of unimaginable magnitude. Look at the way unregulated FDI is flowing to India. As per our rule we cannot have any regulation on the capital brought in as FDI. The investor can repatriate it at any time. Once the FDI reaches a peak level the ‘self interest’ engaged in FDI will repatriate it in an opportune time-in short notice. This is when they get maximum value. This repatriation will break the backbone of our financial system. We will be asked to devalue currency to a level which will be demeaning India.
Another way is to create a war-euphoria and encourage India to acquire sophisticated weapons at exorbitant rate. This will be arranged to all neighboring countries which will be a cyclic additions draining our precious reserves.
Another way is to encourage India use these sophisticated weapons, which are really intended for defense purpose, against internal miscreants. This will drain our treasury. The turmoil created will reduce the national production affecting availability of goods and services.

Another way is to persuade India to go ahead with nuclear projects worth one BILLION dollar in accordance with the disastrous 123 agreement. 123 agreement was a surrendering of India’s sovereignty.
Mr.Antony’s visit will embark on a shopping spree draining our wealth at the same time tarnishing his good image.

Why should we stockpile the weapons and carriers to fight the neighbours? Differences between neighbours must be solved by negotiations and not by wars. The distrust here is created by ‘war hawks’ to find market for weapons. This approach ruined the African continent during 60s and 70s. India should be careful!!

It is time for the neighbours here to realize the dangers behind these type of ‘coaxing’. Why should we fight here to improve business for another nation? The proposed three agreements in defense matters to be signed with US is a dangerous move which will keep this continent violent for decades if not for centuries. Mr.Antony should desist from this move to retain the good name of Congress. We should not surrender our freedom to defend ourselves with our own establishments.
By diverting our resources for less important fields our food production will lag behind. The financial crunch will affect the HR developments.

reward and punishment
by Jaganath Bharat on Aug 09, 2010 09:00 PM  | Hide replies

If they want reward for "heavy-lifting" nuclear deal, they should also be punished pushing India into decades of nuclear isolation, while rewarding China for rogue nuclear activities. It's reward enough that we didn't punish them yet for the nuclear apartheid (which is still partially going on).

US supported the creation of Taliban and AQ in the first place. They also created the famine by ecological terror, importing aggressive weeds, etc. Go mind your own business paki, hiding under lankan guise.

Defence Equipment Imports by India
by Ramsingh Sachan on Aug 09, 2010 02:02 PM

The whooping defence purchases by India may requre a review of the capacity building for the local industries. With huge talent, technology and unemployed man power available with us , we could perhaps put this money to better use.Perpetual imports for a country of India size is not the solution!

useless N-deal,brainless defence deals
by sekhar raja on Aug 09, 2010 12:58 PM

we got the N-"DEAL".It is a deal for the politicians, not for us. We will be getting around 11% electricity at what cost? 7 nuclear power plants, emitting radiological, cancerous waste and giving great threat to the existence of the areas/crores of people in which they are located.
