This article is clearly anti-indian and this Himal magazine is a nepal based magazine. In other countries the national media supports the interests of the country and publish supporting the country's view but sadly in India the english media and websites like rediff are freequently publishing anti-india articles and showing our security forces in negative light. Even though US was wrong in invading iraq, US media always projected that as freedom of iraq, Sadly when India is trying to protect its own borders, this english media is supporting the terrorists who wants to break India. i FULLY OPINE WITH THE VIEWS OF GELLANI.HE IS QUITE RIGHT IN SAYING THAT ITS THE KASHMIRIS SHUD HAVE RIGHTS OVER THEIR SELF DETERMINATION.INDIA HAS BEEN TRYING TO RETAIN KASHMIR FOR STRATEGIC REASONS WHILE PAKISTAN WANTS IT ON THE BASIS OF ITS RELIGION.RAJA HARI SINGH GAVE THE DISCRETION TO KASHMIRIS.IT WAS WAYBACK IN 1947 KASHMIR WAS ACCEDED TO INDIA WITHOUT KASHMIRIS ENDORSING IT.THIS IS THE STARK REALITY.ITS BETTER INDIA LEAVES IT TO THE PEOPLE OF KASHMIR.OR IT CUD RATHER CONDUCT A REFERENDUM ON KASHMIR.BUT ITS THE BOUNDEN DUTY OF KASHMIRIS TO BRING ALL THE DISPLACED PUNDITS INTO KASHMIR AND GIVE THEM THEIR DUE STATUS IN THE KASHMIRI HOMELAND.THAT A TEAM OF MEIA MEN ARE SENT TO COVER KASHMIRI NEWS IS NOT A DEMOCRATIC PROCESS AT ALL THE GOVERNMENT DID THE SAME IN THE SRI LANKAN ISSUE TOO.THE MEDIA IN INDIA NEVER PORTRAYS THE TRUTH AND IS THE MOST CORRUPT INDTITUTION OF THIS COUNTRY.

What gilani and tagore are saying is NOT the solution. India was partitioned on the belief that would be a solution to Muslims demand for a homeland but that resulted in Pakistan and later Bangladesh and a continuous war with Pakistan.IF KASHMIR IS ALLOWED TO SECEDE IT WILL BE THE BEGINNING OF THE BALKANISATION OF INDIA. We can never allow this, Kashmir or any other part is Not repeat NOT negotiable.people who want to support gilani are welcome to leave India and go to pakistan or to any other country let INDIA be in Peace

then India should leave West Bengal to Bengali,Assam to the Assameese,nagaland to the naga's,Manipur to the Manipuri. Is this the solution Mr. Tagore? what you no is totally Distorted views of Mr. Geelani. Our forefather fought for united India. Instead you want to divide it. sorry1 Mr. Tagore. Atleast we are not in the same line with you. We will not leave an inch of our Motherland. It is not a fight with our kashmiri Brothers. Itis a fight with Pakistan. Because the Bangladesh was separated from Pakistan, this fight was started as Pakistan wants to take revange by separating Our Motherland India into small pieces.

the problem of Kashmir is result of mistakes done by our leaders after the independence. Kashiris have thrown out the Pandits and now threatening Sikhs.Poor leadership of our country may face a prolonged struggle and an opportunity to our adverseries to further weken our Nation. Punjab understood the game and started eliminating terror groups themselves. Kashmiris may take longer to understand the game plan. Some times too much of everything is too bad. It is time we wake up before it is too late.
1. sooner or later it will come under pakistan and taliban forces, because kashmir doesnt have enough resources to be a free nation and stand on their own. 2. every muslim majority state in india will demand freedom. 3. if kashmiris think they want freedom it means they want to be under pakistan.i think they do not have the clear picture of ppl living in pakistan. 4.azaadi is not solution but the startup of new problems afterall they have to look towards india and pakistan for security from terrorist forces. 5. future scenario-if kashmir become free it will take 3-5 years for it to become taliban.then again india had to attack kashmir for internal safety. 6. real solution is those muslims who do not want to b a part of india can leave to other muslim countries.indian govt should arrange all facilities for their free departure and those who want to live in india and fight againt india will b termed as TERRORISTS.
could you guys put the solution of kashmir problem.lets see what whole india is thinking about kashmir.for how long we need to wait to resolve this issue.leave religion, if india is putting 5 lakh of army in kashmir to save kashmir then there is nothing great, one should defnd their mother land and if kashmir is not part of india then it is wrong.Now these boundaries between countries are created or agreed by men. now the main problem is that india and pakistan has just need to agree on boundry.Now who should we listen, UNIted nation security council( who really doesn,t know abt problem), GOD (which include allah, shiva, ganesh, jesus) which is not possible or who? who will decide?Draw the line, stop spending money on this conflict. Millios need help in india and billions in pakistan.concentrate on that. from my side, If pakistan want POK then they can keep it leave our kashmir to us and finish this problem.and for kashmiris going and joining pakistan is going to give them failure, you know why? there is long list of reason....bbye

simple solution, remove article 370 and let other indian but lands and property and settle there. Kick out the separatist p1gs to pakistan or to what ever land their ancestors came from.
Talk of Independence is mere BS and only clever attempt by the political machinery & religious leaders to use ignorant rural kashmiri muslims for their own vested interests. Few Rich kashmiris have always used this independence platform to settle scores with businesmen in full support by religious priests. The young men are eliminated by provoking and their dependent women (wives, daughters) are then sold off into international market, which is a huge racket. Its now decades since the kashmiri muslim youth have been USED & THROWN by their leaders. Leaders & their families are hardly affected and continue to prosper, while kashmiris who have lost their families get impoverished further & further, virtual elimination of signs of their families. No power can stop people, except by their own, when they realise. They need to look at their own brethren who are prospering in other parts of India or world & give a damn to the wicked designs of the politicians. Politics will always be bad, but ones life & family is precious for his own.

The same USE & THROW concept is in Afghanistan & Parts of Pakistan. Businessmen & Religious leaders come together to design wicked plans to eliminate the young males of specific locations. They motivate them by false religious teachings into revolt & terrorism. The outcome of this is that young men lose their lives in their youth (obviously militaries are far more trained them such jerky militias). The bounty that was promised to their families is then enjoyed by the businessmen, politicians & religious priests. Their leftover women are then used by this group, in the name of polygamy sanctioned by religion, which is like legalised prostitution. The businessmen's vested interest in this case is also control on the drug & weapon market moving through the poppy rich afghanistan & pakistan areas.
Appreciate that the rediff had shown some courage to write some truth about the humiliation that the Kashmir’s face from the security forces of india. I request to all humans from india like Arunditi roy, KARAN THAPAR to see the ground realities in kashmir and say what does the Kashmir deserve. Indias forceful occupation or a freedom from both neighbours india & Pakistan . Both countries have half population living below poverty line. Just take care of ur own people & leave Jammu & Kashmir free.

To understand Kashmiri Muslims we need to differentiate between a movement based on truth and Pan Islamic Fundamentalist Movement ?
Why are Kashmiri Minorities not supporting this "valley based Kashmiri Muslim movement" of deception, lies, atrocities. Kashmiri Muslims are liars, street smart, cunning, racists and great actors ( drama bazz).
The movement based on looting and killing minorities with a goal of creating Nizame Mustfa is not going to fly. Sooner of later truth will prevail.
Why Kashmiris could not listen to the cries of Kashmiri Pandits 20 years back and until now....
When all can hear and remember the cries of innocent children killed, why cannot they hear and remember the cries of innocent children, women and men of Kashmiri Pandits. Where were they that time....were they blind, deaf and dumb. Or did they choose to look the other way because the Kashmiri Pandits are Hindus.
I feel sad for the killing of the children and loss of human lifes, but at the same time I feel bad for the kind of perplexy and blindness the people of kashmir valley are living in.
May be its time to realise for them or they have lost the time and moment.

How can minority survive if the majority kill them. Do you think Muslims in the rest of India will survive if Hindus will act like What Muslim Kasmiris did to the Hindu-Kashmiris? (Dont worry you-know and I-know Hindus will never do that except for temporary aberrations)
