This is not news to Obama
by black mofo on Aug 11, 2010 02:25 AM  | Hide replies

Wikileaks are "leaked" to the media from information the US government already has.
India is STUPID and LAZY to think that the US will yell at Pakistan or stop them somehow. If India wants to put an end to Pakistani terrorism - the only way is to inflict a cost on them that is 10 times higher than what they inflict on India.
Do our politicians (either today or before) have the balls to do that?

All of us should understand that Pakistan is nothing actually. Its a puppet of US. All the insurgency and problem in India are indirectly sponsored by US. This is to hinder the growth of India. US first ignited this fire through Pakistan becoz India was in Russian camp; After downfall of Russia; US thought that its better to include India into its camp since now China is posing more threats to US for claiming supremacy in Asia. However they cannot directly ditch their old friend Pak. Pak on the other hand seeing US going out of their support started building closeness to China.
ALL IN ALL WE INDIANS HAVE TO FIGHT OUR OWN BATTLE

ISI is the Hen with Golden Eggs.
by Passed on Aug 03, 2010 09:23 PM

They have done it in past, they are doing it again. Just to get immediate gratification (As american put it), they are supporting a bigger monster, which has already started to show the signs of being a monster. But inspite of knowing it all, US is still supporting it, for what?

If anyone thinks that US is in war to protect innocent people and restore democracy, then they are purely looking things from wrong glasses. The whole and sole reason of going on war was to increase arm sales. Since the cold war finished, arm sales were going down, so that had to do things to make it come back to full scale again.

1. Supporting african wars have not generated enough
2. Countries are not buying more arms, as they used. Partly because they developed their own system or they are not feeling that threatened now
3. There is more competition in market, so market share is dwindling.

The bottom line is, they can not kill the main monster as that will be the future business generator. Thats why ISI is not an enemy but a friends who will lay golden eggs in future.

horrific tales and fortitude
by Raghavendra Bhat on Aug 03, 2010 08:39 PM

Wikileaks was waiting to happen and it is a good thing to have occured! The dangerous US game of cozying up to the ISI within the Pakisthan establishment is fraught with 'harakiri'. The ISI's support to the Talibhan, a decadent outfit rooted in the dark ages, to bomb out schools and carry out campaigns against women's freedom is most condemnable.

The USA is indirectly supporting the campaign against the liberation of women from mindless cruelties, the terror campaing on the girl child and other atrocities by supporting the ISI. Can this end any soon?

US Sucksup to Pakistan
by Riv on Aug 03, 2010 08:30 PM

I remember during 911, US has a terrible power of attacking any country in the world and the world will applaud it. It had a great chance of disciplining or even transform the country of Pakistan by taking away its military aid and nukes. I can remember Musharaf had no choice but to suckup to BUSH. Instead BUSH and Chronies F*kd up the whole situation and invade Iraq which was totally stupid just to get rid of Saddam...Now with repeated defeats in places like Marjah and daily casualities even after 9 years and spending billions (Millions per minute) still US looks confused and on the verge of defeat(defeat is defined by not harming Taliban or dismantling it). We, Indians should not get in to this game and understand the ground realities and start negotiating with Taliban before ISI uses them against us once US is out of afghanistan like their pullout of Iraq by this month...

US curtailing Pakistan
by t prasad on Aug 03, 2010 04:58 PM  | Hide replies

The article is somewhat interesting. The real culprit for all the madness in the World is of course, USA. It is a country that believes in raging wars on others for their prosperity. They do not hesitate to kill their enemy in any which way that is possible. These guys are the real terrorists in this world. But they act in Pseudo and not directly. They have agencies like CIA,FBI,DEA etc, who are responsible for this kind os acts. The US are the ones who have used the Atomic Bomb, The Cluster Bombs, The Napha Bombs. Inspite of their might, they lost wars in Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea etc. They had their equal opponent in earnest USSR, that has been dis-integrated. One should be cautious in judging others
