I dont care if there is a god - I will follow the footsteps of my ansistors as that is my Culture and Culture is reason enough for me to worship Lord Shiva
The name sends shrill through the body - the great Maha Kavi (poet) was one of the best our country had seen and died just like Ramanujam (Maths Genius) at a very young age.
He defied the British and his patriotic poems were missles in the form of beutiful Tamil words for the British and had inspired that generation of Tamils to fight for the cause of Independence.
The service he did to Tamil language through Poems and literary work inspired many poets for generations
They should have stopped the pilgrimage for a few years because all the heat that is generated by having thousands of people go through could have been avoided and helped slow down the melting.
