uNLEASH THE ESTABLISHMENT
by Maneesh Gupta on Apr 22, 2010 09:42 PM  | Hide replies

This is the full power of the establishment unleashed on one individual who dared to cause a cabinet minister to resign. In India, you cannot question the government or its arms; else it is you who will be in trouble.
Can one expect any investigation by the Income Tax department, the enforcement department or the Registrar of companies to be started and progress at such speed and fury? Intelligent people will see through this charade all the elements of government sponsored bureaucratic terrorism of individuals and organisations who have dared to have the vision of something big; and succeeded in giving Indian Cricket the international advantage it deserves. Don't forget, this is the same government that refused to provide security to last year's IPL causing it to be held abroad!! Have we forgotten that so soon. For Modi to have still successfully managed the event last year demonstrates his organisationals skills and his no nonsense approach towards bureaucrats, ministers and government.
WE need more people like Modi. WE collectively need to ask the govt stop its harrassment of Lalit Modi.

POOR INDIANS
by vijaya kumar on Apr 22, 2010 12:25 PM

Shashi Tharoor has gone. Congress able to take revenge or not. Cricket’s great, jamboree may be cleaned up or not. Does it matter so much ? As tharoor self-destructed, modi haunted by corruput congressi govt. the circus around them diverted all attention from the storm gathering over India.. As the IPL grabbed eyeballs, India gained 100 million poor people, the Maoists grew stronger and people is suffering due high prices of all the items. This figure of 100 million will be added to the last figure of 300 million people( who live below the official poverty line) estimated by the government and planning commission, make the new figure to 400 million poor in this country. This new figure of 400 million poor may sound like a lot in a country of 1.1 billion, but every expert will tell you this is a gross underestimation. If you were to raise the povery line to Rs.90 per day, inadequate for a coffee at a five star hotel – the number of poor in India would cross 800 million. Hunger and Maoist violence are not uniquie to – but are largely centred on – Indias tribal lands, once home to the nation’s denset forests, systematically exploited by local governments, officals and private interests.
Neither the govt. nor the so called secular or sickular political parties or the so called social organizations have any interest in the upliftment of the poor and hungry Indians. They want only money and power and

That would be the stupidest thing to do. Once nationalized, it would be a wider cross section of elected representatives who will seemingly enjoy the loot. Tell me one thing that has been nationalized has worked well in India, since independence.

Politics and IPL
by Srinivasan natesan on Apr 22, 2010 10:00 AM

Can political power be kept separate from IPL? Is not IPL an easy source of revenue? If NCP became the biggest beneficiary of IPL, how can that party be insulated? The probe should cover a to z of what is happening. Will that ever happen or will end-up as selective witch-hunting?

ward off IPL
by Ajay on Apr 22, 2010 09:21 AM

Birth of India is incorporated with full of scam as it was poor country and lot of aids were given by prosperous countries. Since than scams became definition of politics. Swiss bank is evidence of endless scams.

Now why there is hue and cry for IPL. All of sudden IT has come in to operation. That too after Modi has stopped Mr Throor's recommended people illegally tries to grab IPL. Otherwise, government would have not done any thing. Is this govt was sleeping since last 3 years? Why this govt didn’t made any investigation against this IPL before. It has become most popular game in our country. This is going to be set back to the people of our country as well as entire world where cricket is most popular. IPL has given lot of wealth to our national exchequer and Lot of business and job to the people. Other countries started feeling jealous to our country due to of IPL.

This is going to be course to nation.
