Good to express confidence on skill and ability of his team... but that doesn't need to show NSG on lighter note.. after all both are for public safetly, and both need to be motivated and moralized by all, especially for a person of his rank.
Hope the respectable Mumbai CP and all other police chiefs understand that rather than being ready to react to similar attack, they need to emphasize on strengthening INTELLIGENCE(active & passive) and act proactively by stopping such incidents to happen...Today's war, whether conventional, non-conventional, Guirrella..all can be won, only if you have strong intelligence and analytics support.
He has assured that in an event of next terror attack the mumbai police cooomaaandos will be better equipped with Steel lathis as the wooden lathis have been phased out.Also bullet proof vests which were ineffective last time are phased out in place of new steel built bhalas used by moghuls in the 17th century which offer greated protection.ALso they wud be wearing mojdis instead of the torn gaitonde shoes which also gave lot of shoe bites.
Mumbai police got sticks, NSG commandos got pistols with shortage of bullets...both are equally good and very effective against the AK47 of the terrorists.
Pagal hai kya ye? He doesn't even know what should he be saying in public. And, firstly we are not racing in a game of good & better; India need good security team, who are loaded with highly sofisticated equipments; secondnly, these new commondos have never been even tested then how can he say they are better or worse?
I think keep adding special teams will not help if government does not start using highly sofisticated equipments like CCTV in all key areas of metros.
To whom is this statement addressed? To countrymen or the terrorists? And why you compare with another? Totally arrogant and unrequired statement. We only want total security in entire nation.
