I disagree with the writer's choices on Tamil diaspora's contribution. Here is the list of actual Diaspora's hereos. 1. Rudrakumaran Viswanathan 2. Navaneetham Pillay (UN High Commissioner) 3. James Appathurai (NATO Spokesman) 4. MIA
It was surprising to see Shashi Tharoor opening his mouth every time to raise a new controversy considering his long career as a diplomat at the UN and an aspirant for the post of Secretary General of the General Assembly. He proved to be a big disappointment. But what is more deplorable is media's role in creating out-of-proportion hype on the issue. The reason is Tharoor is not a regular politician. That hoary institution, Congress party has always been a haven for all types of ruffians, corrupt and sleazy characters who have mostly gone on without any punishment from their party or without trial by media which does not dare to raise a finger against such seasoned persons. In majority of such instances it just chooses to ignore the misdeeds of the regulars. Tharoor is a light-weight with no base and no political background which comes handy for bargaining and horse-trading. He was simply a disposable item. The least he could have done was roughening up some self-righteous media persons.

What about marriage? I think it is lot cheaper than a 70- Cr sweat equity coerced from another businessman.

If he was Taroorbhai, he would have survived as a Minister. He is a beautiful lotus in the filty pond of Indian politics.
Shashi Tharoor has the biggest following in Twitter? Yes, 8 Lakh! But they are just following his tweets, not him anyway. They are just watching what he says, not necessarily approving what he says. Some Malayalam Newspapers thoughts all of them are his supporters! poor they! And you can sit at home and make thousands of twitter Ids and follow twitter. Right? What stupi-d media we got in kerala?
