If rediff would not have covered we would not even known about it. Very sad that Indian Media is interested in covering only news which can get them better ratings on television or better readership. There is no value of humans in our country where as many as 124 people have died and not even one newspaper or television channel covering it. We have to depend upon foreign media to inform us.

it is not only with Bengalis....the same is the case with all normal Indians....for Indian media only celebrities, politicians and IPL matters because they don't care about normal Indians....our media is the biggest anti national crap.
Sir, It is so sad see the pictures and my hearty condolence to those who lost their lives and their families. One more thing to mention here, can anyone see a single pukka house in those photos? After 43 years Communist rule what they've got? This might be the main reason for rise of Naxalism and terrorrism in this state!

Yes, a pucca house is seen in the backdrop behind the tree ! ha ! Anyway, though I am not a communist, all the parties with no exception, are at the same pedestal. Rather they only compete with each other as to who can be MORE INCOMPETENT. Earlier, the sight of beggars, squalers, migrants used to irritate me. But now I wonder if they all have migrated to the metros, what is bad in that. They dont have any alternative but to die like insects. What you say is really appalling. I do agree with you my dear.
No major Indian website bothered to cover this news yesterday. Neither Sify.My colleague at work showed me on a Mauritian website when I came to know about it. Even BBC had a small coverage. Guess it wasnt a good enough news for anyone with Tharoor & IPL getting the hits.

Abey Bengali, why you want to communalize this issue with Hindi and Bengali. Do you think only bengalis have died in this Storm? How not speaking Hindi is relevant on not this news being published? Tharoor is from kerala and he also probably won't be speaking Hindi. News Channel just are a medium of earning money only so they would publish those news which would earn them money.
