The fact in our country is that the posts of Governors and Vice-Chancellors etc. are tottaly politicised. The appointees dance to the tunes of their political masters. The Governor of MP (who is by default the Chancellor) is a Congress nominee and by extension the Vice Chancellor is also a Congress nominee. Naturally, they both will dance only to the tunes of Congress and their first family. A political action will receive a political reaction only. This is what has precisely happened and the VC should not have any grouse against Chauhan or BJP. In fact, his openely criticising the BJP and Chauhan clearly shows who his political masters are and will certainly be rewarded with plum post by the Congress. And Manish Tiwari, the Congress spokesperson, has the temerity to say that it is BJP that is politicising educational institutions! Tiwary should realise that Congress has ruled India for more than 50 years since independence and they are the only party responsible for all the political ills plauging our country!

Question to VC -the Brhispati..
by Anand Bharadwaj on Apr 02, 2010 01:54 AM

Could you tell me what 'non-political' qualification does Rahul have so that you have chosen him to lecture?
To teach how to go on Drag Race?
I think you got best treatment from a very sound Chief Minister..

A politician to Campus, is a non political gesture?
by Anand Bharadwaj on Apr 02, 2010 01:47 AM  | Hide replies

Who is this idiot trying to fool?
If youth needs to know about politics, he could have invited political Science professors for Lectures. But a Politician Himself giving lecture in Campus is too hard to digest...
Atleast the Temple of Knowledge should have been above politics...
And above all he is blaming some central party high command..first of all it was his mistake and now trying to cry foul if he is asked to GO...
People like these are not fit to be Gurus...

Psycho-fear-Ppls are being advised to appear this test by psychologists:
and as such

Bill Clinton,
Mulayam and
Soonia gee

were set to face a firing squad in a small vatican country.

Bill Clinton was the first one placed against the wall
and just before the order was given he yelled out,
"Earthquake!" The firing squad fell into a panic and
Bill jumped over the wall and escaped in the confusion.

Mulayam was the second one placed against the wall.
The squad was reassembled and Mulayam pondered what he had just witnessed.
Again before the order was given Mulayam yelled out,
"Tornado!" Again the squad fell apart and Mulayam slipped over the wall.

The last person, Soonia gee, was placed against the wall.
She was thinking, "I see the pattern here, just scream out something about a disaster and hop over the wall.
" She confidently refused the blind fold as the firing squad was reassembled.
As the rifles were raised in his direction he grinned from ear to ear and yelled,
"Fire...........

Apolitical function
by KNarayanaswami Ramanathan on Apr 02, 2010 12:00 AM  | Hide replies

I wonder why Rediff is carrying this as a NEWS item. Educational institutions and head of such universities should keep politics and politicians away from campus. If they invite one side, they must invite other sides also. If VC becomes political, they should be shunted out. No party likes oppositions being called to address students under its nose. Congress party is no different. Why carry it as NEWS and boost culprit VC.

-Actually VC was going to be served with notices on irregularities in the Univ.
-He resigned before that.
-See the complete report on the VC, how he was intilled in the Univ.,
-Secondly, Rahul during Lunch and meeting with students, urged them to join NSUI off-camera, to which some students objected and complained to the Chancellor as well.

-And that too without any credible educational background.
-I wonder what degree Rahul holds! the degree he has from some UK university, that university doesn't exist! The media for sometime hounded Rahul with this question, but later dropped it on behest of Sonia;s advice to media houses.
